but laos is already doing reforestation programs, they realise this is a big issue. they went up from 40% forests (of total area) in 2010 to 62% now. their target is to reach 70% again, which also was the total area of forests in the 1940s. (https://dicf.unepgrid.ch/lao-peoples-democratic-republic/forest)

they planted 34 million trees in 2024 alone (https://english.news.cn/20240529/da596e24c61c482d9240e481f6308fc3/c.html)

laos is basically just forest, one of the countries with the most forest area in the region, so the health of the forest is a big deal to them

dont use whatsapp for that kind of stuff

Kind of a shitpost fyi, but since all humans initially had dark skin (more melanin) and only slowly got fairer skin (less melanin) in regions with less UV radiation in the northern hemisphere, would this also be reversable?

How long does it usually take to see these changes in mammals? Probably thousands of years right?

I mean it would kind of solve racism if we don't have a political system by then that treats all humans like humans.

Please don't take this post too seriously I just had this idea of a white supremacist having an identity crisis due to having more darker skinned children because of climate change haha (Insert some joke about Yakubian apes here)

Are you sure this isn't satire?

Okay, but an AI basically never disagrees with your opinions no matter how wrong they are, if they're not scientifical. If they can't differenciate subconciously if it is a human or an AI they are talking to, it does not matter if it's an AI. This "AI" (marketing term for this ML LLM) can be a tool, but unless there are laws and studies for the use of it, it will just continue to have more cases like this

If the US goes down, most of the world will probably fall to chaos because of how centered everything is financially around the US. It would be worse than the 1929. The EU has no measures against this

The chinese did too in the beginning after the empire fell, but after some decades the socialists won in the end. I will never loose hope

Hi, I'm looking for some children's books that teach marxist values or just any humanist values in general (age 2-4). preferably in german. thank you in advance :D I want to read them to my son

im looking for some good music

not an accelerationist or anything, but people here are so fucking stupid especially in germany. just a ragepost dont mind please

How exactly does Juche differ from other Marxist branches? What are the differences? Do Koreans in the DPRK really see the Kim family as "gods" like western documentaries tell? And can someone explain the laying down the flowers in front of the statue thing? I dont really understand it and want to learn about it. Also I learned that the DPRK was way richer than the south in the 70s, but why are people making fun of the nation now because it is alledgedly poorer and had a hunger crisis? I find it disturbing tbh to make fun of people starving.

What I concluded myself is that it has something to do with the war they are still in that has only a truce but never really ended.

why is the plot in apocalypse series always that everyone is aginst everyone? that all people need to arm themselves because everyone wants to kill each other?

in real life scenarios of extreme situations, in almost every case humans would stick together and show altruistic behaviour, share everything because that is the only way to survive. but in fiction it is always the opposite(?).

why is it like that? what do you think?

see title

Hi, There are many people I know and also many comment sections I see online that are just parroting Israeli and US state department propaganda and I feel like it is driving me insane. They seem to repeat arguments using almost every common propaganda technique available and it seems like the majority of people is just falling for it without any critical thinking and this is depressing as hell.

They are portraying fascism as the only solution to all problems and as a justified position but don't even want to name it as such, saying everyone else is the fascist.

I think I am going mad what should I do, I feel like arguing against it is like speaking to a wall most of the time.
