Too late, a bill is going through parliament right now. By the end of the week you'll be proscribed by the UK government.

Wow. Three smug arseholes walk into a bar... Tell me if you've heard this one.

One thing they could do right now... right now.... is to set up legislation to mandate all government systems to run on Open Source operating systems and software that is owned and controlled by European small to mid size companies. Out right ban the use of US tech in government.

The migration might take time. But I'm saying simply legislate for this. Do you think they ever will? I doubt it.

The EU can't extricate itself from Russian gas despite years of Russian aggression in Ukraine. How do you think they are going to do with U fucking S tech? 😱

There is still distrust of the Greens when they joined that call of SNP and Lib Dems to call for election at the opportune time Boris wanted it.

That seems a pretty shit reason to distrust both the Greens or Lib Dems or the SNP. It benefits only the incumbent Tory and Labour hegemony.

It's like millennials greeting upset over the fact that the Lib Dems had to rethink student loans when in coalition and then refusing to vote for them despite the Lib Dems being one of the only parties willing to come out against Brexit. Muh student loan is worth more than Brexit so I'll vote for Labour that introduced student loans and positively supports Brexit fucking stupid logic.

Good luck to them. I fear this will do absolute fuck all to shift the needle. But good for them for trying.

I mean that chap in the thumbnail is clearly not paying attention to the road. Send him down!

You do understand that this is about voting on a bill through parliament and not a general election? In which case the voting is the same as your parliament when voting on bills and legislation: it's a simple majority vote.

Or were you trying to be edgy? I can't tell.

It's almost like the majority of people in the country (despite what they say) are subconsciously racist 🤷.

Ahh. I see my mistake now.

Wait I'm so confused with this story. Is she innocent or guilty?

They tried to sell me on religion in school, I thought it was a load of rubbish - I remember telling the priest exactly that when I was 11 and he wanted me to do my Holy Communion.

The priest probably wanted to fuck you in the arse - you dodged a bullet. Well done your young self!

Kinda politics, kinda culture. Definitely both. Thoughts?

Actually a pretty sad story when you read past the headline. Poor git.

In particular tools to help manage backup and rollback of system configuration. Or tools to help migrate and old laptop to the new one? I've seen things about dot file management? Stuff like that.

Is it possible to get a list of all the various tweaks I've made to my system? Over the years I've probably installed and uninstalled a bunch of apps, tweaked and untweaked a bunch of configuration settings, ran a bunch of scripts that did god knows what to my system. To be fair, it's probably my fault for not writing them all down.

However can I somehow figure out how different my system is from a clean install? For example my system didn't come with any swap space so I added some. I remember doing that recently. However suppose I forgot that I did that (because it might have been a long time ago) how would I have rediscovered that and other changes I might have made to the system?

Thanks 👍.

Absolute scum, take away their benefits the lot of them.

That's £1.8 million of your money they've lost.

Ita a measure of priorities that the council can't pay it's staff properly to organise the streets to be swept or rubbish to be collected but can hoard millions of pounds worth of art.

Another well deserved honour for our recently departed "mayor".

He'll be lecturing in How to get money out of big industry whilst in a position of power starting next year.
