a lot of the comments were offended that it made fun of bib overall wearing types. heck i love wearing bibs, lol. hadn't crossed my mind

this cartoon I swiped in one group then pasted in a public group went nuts and got reshared 2k with 5.3k reacts. like a pinball machine. usually posts drain but sometimes the ball gets stuck between bumpers and racks up points. bbbrrrr, dingdingding. random for me. some of the stupidest posts get traction. like bots are clicking or something.

Dad owned a low rent apartment house. people would put chicken bones in the drain and then call because the drain backed up. and take bulbs out of the hallway lights. He'd laugh about it then fix the stuff because he wasn't a good slum-lord. Probably never broke even

did similar for years with sick time which was use or lose 10 days a year. boss complained my calling in sick Fridays and Mondays had become a pattern. well yeah. worked at a community college in illinois. not a slave.

friend rescued a roof dog. common to put chihuahuas on the roof for security in Mexico.

mod menus have improved. Ban and Appoint mod are dangerously close. list up/down vote accounts. saw a debate about votes on git. could care less myself. context menus can be confusing with different options depending on where you clicked to get there. oh and lemmy needs a translate button. people downvoting non-english posts is ignorant and probably a local thing. /rant

downvotes for German? in my browser, highlight -> right-click -> translate to English. 'I have adopted two stray cats, but the apartment I rent is very small, so that cat hair often float in the air. I bought a used Philips air purifier and change the filter about every two weeks. I bought a plush cloth that is wrapped around the filter, so that I do not have to replace the expensive filter, but only the cloth. A large roll can be used long after cropping. When I changed it, the cloth was full of cat hair; I think it still works. But I sneeze frequently in winter, and the doctor said it was allergic lashing. I would like to know if there is a better air purifier that absorbs cat hair. And the cat hairs on the bed are also difficult to remove.'

fedi is mostly German and French. lemmy needs a translate button.

at what point is it cheaper to just pay taxes than buying politicians? mindless greed from control freaks.

okay. but without a link, hearsay. https://www.cia.gov/readingroom/collection/lunik-loan-space-age-spy-story not really science, more spy craft

in a system where money is the only goal, those with the most start believing they are also smarter than everyone else. mostly luck and mass hoarding opportunities at the expense of everything else. follower counts also have similar effects when they are the only goal. buy the follower system and just edit counts until satisfied. never enough. hoarding anything eventually buries the hoarder. dark is a general term for a hoarding fixation. change the goal and they will fixate on the new goal.
