Im extremely lucky to have a good paying job and still I say tax the fuck out of the rich. They are absolutely kings of our day drunk with power and money they do not deserve that they earned by destroying thousands of lives. There is no other way to win capitalism. If there's a hell, all billionaires will go there because they are scum. You're average millionaire bisynes owner mom n pop store, theyre not who we are talking about. Its the filthy rich.

Also that life is one we choose by wanting a solid predictable life. Anyone can online in the woods in Alaska off grid. Its just a fuck ton of work and you could starve or freeze.

Im talking about the majority of humans, the lazy and the simple ones for whom tik tok is their lives. Yes sure, for those who are actually adventurous and interesting, it's awesome to have this information and power. But most people don't utililize that at all. They want spoon fed content. People don't even want to find content. They want it shoved in their faces because they would rather not use their brains for 1 second.

I don't agree with the making it harder to censor. They don't have to make it harder to censor because everything is misinformation now, and by using that logic they can say everyone is just lying (except for their side, of course) so it's right back to square 1. Have you seen how many people think ai slop images are real? I rest my case. Technology enabled the dumbest to become dumber and, more dangerously, confident.

All of this could also just be because it's Americans im interacting with, and we are definitely the dumbest country.

Exactly. If you're sitting there with no phone, you're more apt to pick up a book or go somewhere than just doomscroll

That is baffling

Is this just because gibbity couldn't recognize the chess pieces? I'd love to believe this is true otherwise, love my 2600 haha.

I have the same problem.. um I guess the resurgence of 80s style things again? Seems like a lot of people love the designs (I always have) and more and more stuff is trying to mimic that style. Also the resurgence of records and tapes is good, we need to own our media again and stop streaming. Also VR improving will be fun if we can keep corpo shit out of it

You wouldn't have that issue since you would have developed a better memory without incessant infantilizing technology. Look at how many people still remember their original phone number 40 years later. Look up the study of cab driver gray matter decrease after the GPS era. We are all stupider now thanks to tech, no doubt.

Yep, my opinion is pretty much dead set that things really were better back then.

It's because back then there was a thing called boredom which led to creativity and generally happier lives. Now, it's nearly impossible to be bored, and people are much less apt to learn a new thing or go on an adventure because theyre obsessed with their phones. Institute a no phone or no internet rule on weekends, I do this and it's great!

I know it's a joke " oh haha you're 30, everything hurts now cuz you're so old!" But really, is something wrong with me or are backs just this stupid? Not overweight. Decently active although I don't exersize every single day. No genetic issues, doctor always says im in perfect health. But my lower back will randomly act up, sometimes it gets so bad that I about black out from the pain. Thats pretty rare though, usually it's just an ache all day when I move or try to put my socks on. Its not sciatica, as I never feel numbness or pain in my legs. Mild weakness maybe if it hurts really bad.

I feel like any doctor is just going to say welp, you're old it happens, or tell me I need 3.5 million dollar spinal surgery.
