the haters, the racists, the sexists, the homophobes, the gun fondlers, the diesel fume huffers, and the bible thumpers vote repulbican every. single. time.

too many democrats jump ship and stay home, vote for the no chance party, or republican if a candidate doesn't support every little policy and issue they want or who supports something they don't. even if the fate of the nation and democracy is at stake, they'll abandon reason.

it affects more than just the 'big' races:

minnesota dfl didn't keep their state house, even though the dfl-led state legislature had been quite productive and a popular, successful dfl governor was on the presidential ticket at the top of the ballot.

that's what musk was selling. to muslims and middle-easterners in michigan harris was a pro-israel, for pennsylvania's jewish population she was pro-palestine. and they were hyper-local with the targeting.. down to individual city blocks.

a lot more than $1k

We find that health costs associated with pregnancy, childbirth, and post-partum care average a total of $18,865 and the average out-of-pocket payments total $2,854 for women enrolled in large group plans.

...

These costs are more than many families can afford. Roughly one third of multi-person households and half of single-person households would not have the liquid assets needed to cover typical out-of-pocket costs associated with pregnancy and childbirth in private health plans.

from this kff study

i remember almost losing the most important person in the world to me as a direct result of that asswipe.

i expect even worse than what i could possibly come up with on my own.
