It would have to be coupled with assurances that all children are fetting and equal civics education to avoid the whole segregated schools being crappy thing.

That's exactly it, and this tweet image was none other than Cody Showdy himself.

I literally just got a government job and start Tuesday and now I gotta worry the job won't exist in 6 months. I got laid off twice in thr past 2 years and I really don't want to make it 3.

Seriously? Are they gonna go after TemTem. Coromon, Cassette Beasts, or any number of Pokémon clones for being too similar? The only thing i can see as a legitimate thing to sue on is if they find out palworld did use AI based off of Pokémon models to generate their models, but I think that was just a rumor anyway.

Not OP, but boomers, you never refer to them as their first name, it's always Mr. or mrs. Last name. Genx started the trope of 'Don't call me Mr. X, Mr. X was my father. Genx started the trend of calling everyone by their given name that stuck with millenials and gen z.

It was supposed to be that she was the most talented linguist on the planet being fluent in 23 languages or something like that to the point where she knows linguistics so well it's super easy to pick up on new languages for her. I was watching this new as a kid and she's what got me into linguistics. I know it's not that easy but man she inspired me.

Depends how close i am to them. If it's a passive acquaintance I'm like, happy for them but in a fleeting sort of way?

I couldn't be more incredibly proud of my wife as her first published work came out today. It is an urban fantasy book named 'Zauberer', which is German for wizard. Her main character is a med school graduate who gets in a car accident and wakes with telekinetic powers, and then finds out her boss from the bookstore she worked at through college is a wizard who then introduces her to the hidden world of magic thinking she is now part of the community, but that couldn't be further from the truth! I also love how unique her antagonistic faction is, the Unkindness. I haven't read anything like it (though if you have, feel free to recommend me something!). I made her website, linked below. There you can find links for Amazon and Barnes & Noble, but I plan on adding more stores, as her book should be available virtually anywhere in the US, and several retailers in the UK, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. The book is available in print or digital. We only have the book available in English, and currently no plans for translations, though that would be cool. We also have an audiobook version releasing sometime next year. We are in the early stages of getting that made. https://www.aderstine.com Please check out the website, buy the book, and if you liked it, please leave a review if you can. The greatest path to an authors success is positive reviews.

I'm not a morning person, but my dog is which forces me to be awake between 6 and 7 am every day. I just have to roll with it and start my day cause fuck it I'm up.

I did replace the cable, which is why it sucked when it still is only charging from a certain angle. It's the device. Don't see any dust in there...
