Be yourself, even if it means the people in your life currently will hate you. You'll find people who love the real you and you'll be much happier even if it ends up making your life harder.

(this doesn't apply if your real self is a dick, work on that)

I spent my 20s pretending to be the person the people in my life wanted me to be and it was miserable, I'm unapologetically myself in my 30s even if I'm still figuring out who that is. Its so much better and I wish I did it a decade ago.

i think I'm gonna have to, now to pray the person who gifted it to me remembers the login for the steam account they made to buy it.

My laptop isn't charging anymore so installing a different OS isn't possible, fuck me right? when it rains it pours. I'll contact support in the morning.

I'd love to try that but I'm also dealing with a separate issue where my laptop is refusing to charge so it's dead and unusable. the deck is my only computer with power right now.

i have a second one and I tried setting that up and unfortunately the problem happens with both of them.

I also tried a wired connection after that and it does the same thing just "connecting to Wired connection 1" and then "failed to connect"

thanks for the ideas though

I've been using controllers on PC since the Sidewinder days, I'm glad to see support for most controllers be basically perfect on Linux and pretty decent on Windows. MacOS still has a way to go with anything that isn't made by Sony, but it's not exactly a gaming platform.

I really wanted to like this one but I just can't handle being as much of a fuckup as this game will inevitably make you.

On PC popular options are Steam Remote Play and Moonlight.

for Xbox it's built into the Xbox app, Greenlight is a good alternative on PC

for PS4/5 there's the PS Remote Play app, but a lot of people prefer the PSPlay app on Android and Chiaki on PC for their improved functionality.

As for getting it on the TV any simple USBC->HDMI adapter will work.

That's not what I said, that's a whole new sentence.

You can speak about it however you like, I've just heard complaints a million times and it's getting really stale. I'm subbed because I like the game and I want to talk about it with other people who do, but most of the posts on this community are criticisms. That's fine too, but like, I also don't care about it, so I was wondering if there was a place with more of a focus on the kind of Starfield discussion I want to see.

Like y'all can keep this group the way it is, I'm not gonna demand it change for me, just wondered if there was a place for people like me out here or if I just gotta suck it up and make do with this one.

Thinking about it now, it's been a long time since I saw a Goldvision video. I loved that guy and his calming contemplative gameplay, I was even on board when he decided to just never kill anyone or any npc in a video game ever again (but still play stuff like multiplayer shooters and GTA Online).

I miss his stuff, gonna go see if I've been missing out
