Double edged sword. Applications asking if you want to save your stuff aren't designed to annoy you, they're designed to save you from the headache of losing your work.

But I can see why you'd want the power button to be a "stronger signal" than clicking Shut Down in some menu.

No. I can say this with confidence because I am an expert on war crimes - I have consumed two, maybe even three distinct pieces of media where war crimes have been mentioned. At one point I even glanced at the Wikipedia article on war crimes. You can count on me.

For real though I think throwing a frag grenade into an enemy army's bunker can't possibly be a war crime. The deception with the tin cans isn't relevant.

I realize this isn't serious but holy shit Prozac might have saved my life. Well, technically Prizma which is the same stuff. I went through so many unsuccessful depression treatments, Prizma is the only one that seems to be sticking. Sometimes the old stuff is just the best.

Worth noting that all treatments were in conjunction with psychotherapy, I don't think pills alone would have helped. And I also tried going without medication at all for a while, it wasn't good either. Prizma really is the only thing that works for me.

Edit: apparently the Prizma brand might only be sold in my country, but as I said it's just a different brand of Prozac.

I also don't know the meme and that just sounds like a cute nickname

To be fair - even though this asshole doesn't deserve fairness - that tweet is very obviously giving full credit to Akash (whoever that is) and not to himself. He's admitting a huge blunder but he's not taking credit for the fix.

Odd, because a huge part of the problem is that Silicon Valley is running too much of the modern world. Microsoft, Meta, Apple, Amazon, Google et al run their respective ecosystems as a de facto government. An unelected and undemocratic government.

I have no idea what I just read

It's fairly common in countertop dishwashers, but come to think of it, I don't know if it exists for full-size ones. The one I have is this: https://www.midea.com/sg/kitchen-appliances/dishwasher/MDWS-2703

I really like that my dishwasher has a window so I can peek inside while it's working. Besides the coolness factor, it's also useful to see whether any of the rotors are blocked from spinning or something tipped over.

It's not a deal breaker if you get one without a window, but it's really nice to have.

I knew someone would beat me to it.

As a user, why should I care whether the distro I use uses systemd? I use Mint and I don't remember having to interact with that kind of low-level nonsense. The distro maintainers can use whatever reasoning they want to pick these details.

Is Suvi Korean or are some of her ancestors Korean? There's a difference.
