Greece was the place Syrians went to, to cross into Europe. It is also a pretty good route coming from Africa via the Middle East. Obviously capitalism ends up exploiting them in Greece, just like in every other country in the world.

This is actually a better ruling then it might sound. Basically the problem was that the house was on a hill, so the risk of flooding was too low to the court. However the court did agree that companies can be sued for climate damages.
The problem with public trust is, that big fossil fuel is going to start a disinformation campaign against any green project. That needs to be fought, but many politicians rather take the money from big fossil fuel. The media also takes a lot of advertising money from fossil fuel companies, which leads to them promoting their views.
The good part is that by destroying the fossil fuel market, lobbying of all forms becomes a lot less useful to the fossil fuel industry.
Das stimmt so nicht ganz. Ohne die Kampagne wären schon heute der Verkauf von Gasheizungen in Deutschland praktisch verboten. Aber es ist gut, dass es nicht abgeschafft wird. Damit wird langfristig der halbe deutsche Gasverbrauch entfallen. Das mit den Heizungen die vor 1991 eingebaut wurden ist eigentlich auch fast egal. Die sind so alt, das Ersatzteile langsame problematisch werden und halten werden die auch nicht mehr lange.
