Why is it that whenever something is spitting out junk data, those specific characters are involved?

The dead don't care about responsibility, and hence I'm not really commenting on it. I'm just saying it's not in your own best interest to rely on others for your own safety, when it's entirely possible to handle it yourself.

Don't be so quick to make assumptions.

Have you never been in a shop that uses bridge cranes? I can see a half dozen 200 ton versions from where I'm standing now. At best the operator might hit the warning buzzer. And no, there's no formal training requirements to use them.

I've never really understood this type of thought when it comes to safety. Simple self preservation should lead you to the same conclusion. When it comes to safety, the squishiest one loses.

We don't blink an eye when told to not stand under something being lifted by a crane, so why balk at being told to be safe around the two ton travelling metal boxes?

I'm not up to speed on how US tax laws work. What does getting deemed a hobby entail?

The government probably wouldn't have if both rail lines weren't shut down simultaneously.

The Teamsters should take a page from the way the UAW/CAW handles the Big Three; focus negotiations on one, then tell the other "here's the template".

Keeping the rail lines running is too critical for the government to allow a protracted lockout/strike, but a (non-conservative) government would likely allow far more leeway if only one of the railways are shut at one time.

Nothing says "small government" and "freedom" quite like mass surveillance.

World's best swap drive.

Things happen by accident or on purpose. No one over the age of 3 should be using "on accident".

There's a difference between WMDs that can reach the US, and ones that can only be deployed locally. Russia has the former (and a lot of them), hence no invasion.

It's also cooler because the temperature is lower.

The two parts are actually Israel and Hamas. If Israel wants peace, there's not much the US is going to do to force them to keep fighting. And conversely, if Hamas doesn't want peace, there's nothing the US can do (short of entering the war directly) to keep Israel from fighting back. It's all up to Israel and Hamas. The US (and Iran on the other side) are secondary players.
