Mod here. Thanks for posting!! Welcome to our community!

Had this phone, Google pushed an OS update that caused the bootloader to get corrupted on a factory reset. Tried to tell me I had to pay them to get the motherboard replaced even though their faulty ass update broke the phone. Three months out of warranty. Never buying a pixel again.

I'm so hyped for that DLC. I'm hoping it makes VS even more expensive and fun. It's a match made in heaven.

That's my favorite Castlevania game!! Good luck with your runs! I'm so hyped for the Vampire Survivors Castlevania DLC.

I've also been playing with my buds WEBFISHING which is basically an Animal Crossing esc chill fishing game with lots of neat stuff to do. It's really fun to play just to hang out with your friends and chat.

If you want something more intense as well, STRAFTAT just released yesterday and it's fun as hell. It's basically a Free to Play (Not P2W) 1v1 arena shooter that's really hectic. It's got a really strange aesthetic that I really like and it's quite fun for a free little game. And if you end up liking it, you can throw the devs a bone and buy a $5 DLC that adds more maps, weapons, and cosmetics. They even made it so only the host has to buy the DLC and anyone who connects gets to play on those maps with those weapons for free. Really neat little game and really fun with a buddy.

Just got into Metaphor ReFantazio! Just reached the first major dungeon and so far I am very impressed. Quite a lot of great QOL stuff over the Persona series, and it has a very well written story with a very unique vibe so far.

I personally think I still prefer the vibe of Persona over Metaphor, but this is seriously a really cool game. I highly recommend you try out the Prologue demo even if you've never played Persona before or don't care for JRPGs, because this is something truly different and I think there's still a chance you might like it. The demo is super meaty too since it's literally just the first four hours or so of the game.

Can we talk about how he is directing people to not donate to him, but instead donate to help others in his area. Absolute Chad.

A lot of us have Humble Choice, which is a subscription service that gives you six games for Steam a month. When some of the games end up being ones we already have, we come here to give away the extra copies to people here on Lemmy! I myself have over 600 keys for games over the years that I am either already had or never intend on playing, so I've got tons to give away.

There's also times where I buy actual Humble Bundles too that have duplicate keys as well. Just way too many keys and I don't feel like going through the hassle of reselling them so instead I am paying it forward to people who want them!

Is there any reason you recommend two specifically over three? I know there is a third Orcs Must Die game but I have no idea if the community considers it "good" or not.

Hello all! My buddy and I finally finished up Baldur's Gate 3 this week and we are not left with a giant co-op game shaped whole in our hearts. It was such an incredible experience and it was truly even more fun running through it together. We are excited to hop into another game, but we have no idea what to play. We've played a lot, and some games we've finished or tried recently included:

  • Borderlands 1, 2, and 3
  • Minecraft, Terraria, Vintage Story
  • Raft, 7 Days to Die
  • A Way Out, It Takes Two

I'm posting here today to ask if any of you have some suggestions for co-op games we could check out! I've Googled for suggestions to no end and 90% of what's there is games we've already played. If anyone has any recommendations for us they would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

~ Hyrulian

Thanks for all the great suggestions everyone!! I'm going to compile a list and check them all out one by one!

Hey folks, it's been a while! I'm here today with a giveaway for a key to one of my favorite games ever made, Disco Elysium: The Final Cut. I am so excited to share this amazing game with whoever wins this giveaway! Be warned however, there are a few things you might want to consider before entering:

  • This game features some very intense content that some people might find disturbing or at the very least depressing. It also has some humor and imagery that some may find offensive.

  • There is some serious controversy surrounding the creation of this game and things that happened afterwards that lead to multiple followup projects being canceled and a very messy split with the original concept's creator and the company behind the game. Read more about this here if this is something that may concern you and sway if you want to play the game.

With that stuff out of the way, what is Disco Elysium? According to the Steam Page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/632470/Disco_Elysium__The_Final_Cut/

A groundbreaking role playing game. You’re a detective with a unique skill system at your disposal and a whole city to carve your path across. Interrogate unforgettable characters, crack murders or take bribes. Become a hero or an absolute disaster of a human being.

Honestly in my opinion though, this doesn't even begin to describe the chaotic intrigue that this game is. I highly recommend this one if you played Baldur's Gate 3 and want to play something similar, albeit a lot different in themes and gameplay. This is also quite a bit shorter.

Anyway, so how do you enter? All you have to do is:

  • Comment telling me what games you've been playing recently or what other
  • Wait till Friday, June 28th at 10am CST to see if you won! A random comment selector tool will decide if you win. If you do I'll comment on your reply to this post telling you to check your DMs where you will find the key to the game!
  • (Optional) Share this post with a friend or fellow lemming to let them get a change to try and win this gem.

Thanks for reading the post and thanks for entering the giveaway! Good luck folks! If you have any spare Steam keys lying around you want to get rid of, this is a great place to do so. DM me if you have any questions!

~ Hyrulian

Unfortunately the first two people I tried to send the key to did not respond to my message. I'll be trying some other folks in the coming days! Thanks!

I wanted to make an advertisement for a cheeseburger in the style of the art found in many Bibles and similar to the artistic style of Leonardo Divinchi.

Here's the prompt:

A cheeseburger, in the style of the bible, advertisement, hand drawn, Roman era art, Renaissance painting, old

I tried using strictly the style of Divinchi but it wasn't yielding the kind of result I wanted.

Back in May of 2022, I was bored so I decided to boot up Brickadia and create some pixel art of the map of Pallet Town. It took me a few minutes to find the map of the town online, load it up in a pixel art software, and recreate the color pallet (pun intended) in Brickadia. Over the next hour I proceeded to place each of the blocks down to perfectly match the pixel art in the original games. After finishing that I was thinking about how it would be neat to make the pixel art 3D.

I spent the next four hours systematically making 3D voxel models in Brickadia of all of the objects in the town, filling out the town as I went. I had finished everything except the patch of tall grass and Professor Oak's Lab before having to close the game to go to work. I would then forget about the entire project until today, July 28th 2023, when I accidentally stumbled across the files on my PC.

I spent only another few hours making Oak's Lab and the tall grass models, placing them in the scene and finishing the town. I can't believe I forgot about the project!! It was a lot of fun and really not too bad for only taking about six hours or so. The hardest part was definitely the water area, because I had to decide how to make the 2D texture of the rock 3D while maintaining the pattern on all sides to keep it looking seamless. I think the finished version looks pretty acceptable, but there where some ugly versions in there at one point.

That's about it. Thanks for listening to my story about my fun little day project.

Hello folks! Mod team here! (Just me right now lol.)

I thought it would be fun for the community to be able to pick what icon and banner we use to decorate our page. In this thread, we are going to vote on the images you think should represent us. For the original icon and banner images I just went back through my Midjourney generation history and picked a few cool looking images, so I figure they are overdue for being replaced anyway. I'm sure you folks have far better ideas and cooler images that we could be using instead.

Here's how to we will run the vote:

  • The most upvoted reply with a proposed icon image will be set to the community's icon.
  • The most upvoted reply with a proposed banner image will be set to the community's banner.
  • I will periodically be checking back on this post and updating the images, so feel free to enter at any time. Whatever image has the highest votes at the time I check will replace the current image.

Some things to keep in mind:

  • NSFW images are not allowed for the icon or banner.
  • Please only submit a maximum of one icon and one banner at a time. If you want to submit a new icon or banner, please delete your old reply and make a new one.
  • If you want to submit images for both the icon and the banner, please create separate replies. Replies with more than one image WILL NOT be considered.

Let me know if you have any questions or concerns in regards to how we are operating this vote. Thanks for visiting the community!!

Hey there folks! Time for another giveaway!! This week I'm giving out a copy of:

Into the Radius VR

If you haven't played it before, Into the Radius is a virtual reality survival game HEAVILY inspired by the STALKER series. The general idea is, you enter the nuclear reaction zone and you have to complete quests and collect resources while surviving the horrific anomalies that live in the area. I personally find this game to be really spooky and stressful, so keep that in mind when entering. That being said, I love the style and the mechanics! There's even a whole system where you have to physically clean and maintain your weapons or they could jam in the moments you need them the most!

Here's the steps you have to follow to enter this giveaway:

  • You MUST have a VR Headset compatible with Steam VR. I couldn't find a reliable resource online listing all compatible models so I highly recommend you verify that your headset works before entering.
  • Reply to this post, sharing what your current favorite VR game is.
  • Wait until Friday, July 14th at around 10am CST. I'm extending this giveaway out for the whole week to allow as many VR gamers to get the chance to enter as possible. Update: Extending the giveaway out for now. I'll try again next Friday instead! Share with your friends that have VR!!

Thanks for entering the giveaway! Remember to follow the steps to enter the giveaway so you don't end up with a key for a game you can't even enjoy. Shout out to everyone who has participated in the giveaways on this community so far!

Edit: Two weeks passed and nobody entered so I'm closing the giveaway. I'll try again later!!

I'm just curious what you folks think. The whole idea of the Fediverse seems to go against everything Meta has stops for with their existing platforms (Facebook and Instagram).

What are they after? Are they going to try and infiltrate it so they can get people's data and content? Are they trying to monetize it? It just doesn't add up. I feel like most people on the Fediverse already would agree that we don't want Meta's platforms to access our content.

Please excuse my ignorance if it doesn't work like I think it does. I'm relatively new to the Fediverse myself.
