I honestly feel defeated right now, it feels like currently it's impossible to truly stay private online unless one is willing to move to a cabin in the woods with no internet and you stop using tech all together and truly become a ghost and stay offline. Can someone help me feel like everything I am currently doing is actually making a difference? Because right now it doesn't feel like it.

Blue Cheese is the king of cheese

Hello everyone, I am pulling my home's existing ethernet cables from the garage and into my home to install a network rack. Currently my garage does not have insulation (for a future project), so it get's too hot during summer for my router to live there, so I want to install it in my mudroom where there is insulation. My question is if I drill a hole to put some sort of cable cover (ie. https://a.co/d/1hHosME) will it affect my home's insulation too much where I should be doing something else? If so, what should I do to improve the cable runs?

Currently, dual booting Fedora and Windows 11 on my Asus gaming laptop, and I love Fedora, but it's still not full sailing. Every other boot the wifi card doesn't register and I have to reboot, others the OS freezes even though Grub doesn't but nothing actually opens or closes, and lastly if the laptop is on battery and goes into hibernation, waking it up takes around 5-10 minutes. To add that gaming is still not as smooth as it is with windows, and I still have a use for Windows pOS.

I'm just making a wild guess, but it was probably the North Korean Cyberattack Force. They have been behind some of the largest crypto heists before in order to get clams in the goverments coffers.

The blockchain analytics provider attributed the attack to the North Korean state-sponsored Lazarus Group, which it says has stolen more than $2 billion across several heists.

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Nailed it

Catholic here, during my confirmation we had to stay a weekend at a monastery to learn about God. One day a priest is talking about a priest who saw Jesus appear before him telling him that he should kiss the feet he walked on and pray to him as he was the son of God, when the priest heard this, he responded with "Jesus never asked to be glorified as a God, and instead wanted to be our servant, you are not him", he threw holy water at Jesus who immediately caught on fire and revealed himself as Satan just before disappearing. The lesson is that is someone tells you that to follow the footsteps of God, you must cause pain to others and do evil deeds, then that person does not represent God but instead represents the Devil and you should cast him aside.

Hi everyone, if this is not the right place please let me know.

I was trying to log in on the lemmy.ml insrance on the web but there appears that the api is returning 404 errors and not letting me log in.

The error appears on console in dev tools and reads that the POST call to https://lemmy.ml/api/v3/user/loging is getting a 404 error from the server.

I have tried Brave, Edge, and Firefox with the same result.
