Its been a harsh couple days, my body was feeling stress 3 days ago, I didn't think the election bothered me all that much. Didnt sleep the night of the election, "must have drank too much coffee". Afternoon of anouncement day, I relapsed.

My state is usually a swing state, but was flooded with red this time, they celebrated our main issue being shot down, wording it to sound like a "no" vote was supporting the new law.

you don’t have to use it.

On windows, "its optional" means somthing diffrent than on linux.

On linux a feature like this is just a command or a toggle switch in the settings.

Its admittedly a neat concept, I use OBS for this verry reason, to capture moments where I didnt think to press "record" beforehand. An (unprivlaged, no internet access) userland foreground app with "start/stop/delete past hour" buttons. All from the easy to understand from a glance taskbar icon.

Sadly, we only got a few of these safety features later on because like software, people will also refuse to buy a car without seatbelts or working breaks.

People are saying "no!" now so they dont have to say no later when its much harder to say no (when its in your home, on your pc). Microsoft plugs their ears when their customers say "it's unsafe" and "no means no" because they want you to partake in this transaction with them reguardless of if you do.

so if Im getting this correct, because zuckerburg runs ads, you can claim the usage is always commercial therefore always subject to copyright control. if you want nudity taken down, you must use (and in the process normalize) this easly abusable loophole that contains absolutely no safeguards.

Hello! so my roommate is a SPED teacher. The school changed how SPED works to be identical to standard education at the expense of the 6th 7th and 8th graders that have mental disabilities. because of office politics and "Test Scores", all SPED teachers got assigned a subject based on "who would make the best test scores" and she (suspiciously) got the short end of the stick. she also got assigned a repurposed office room no larger than small bedroom with no windows.

what can she do to possibly deal with or go around the internal politics? if not, how could she change the room itself to make it at least tolerable?

Edit: for all that need to know for the legal side of thimgs, we are currently in Ohio.
