After some quick googling it seems like Japan is one of the places those little fellas are found

Happy to hear it's shutting down

I think it would be a cool idea to turn that place into a museum of the history of coal use in the UK and also how they worked

Funnily enough for me it only shows if I change the sort method to various different ones in the app I use (Jerboa)

I took this pic while on vacation to South East Oregon (specifically a place called Lake Abert) using my Lumix G9 and my 100mm - 300mm lens at the full 300mm and f/5.6.

I was really happy that of all the critters I saw that day this one sat still long enough for me to get a decent shot.

This little bird chilled for quite awhile singing away which was pretty cool.

Must the Frog huh?

And I do accept them, I think I've got a name for a new character in my Pathfinder game who's a Grippli (frog person)

Oh that's easy, because this doesn't play into their narrative

Their goal is to stop people from voting this year so that the fascist can win

Happy to hear about those protections

They can pry my local account from my cold dead hands

My mother is planning to vote Republican this year because she "doesn't pay attention to that political crap"

I keep telling her that she really needs to pay attention because she's on disability, gets medical benefits from the government, food stamps, etc.

Yet she still refuses to get informed.

I've tried talking to her about politics, I've tried showing her what Republicans are doing, I've tried asking her what she'd do if her benefits went away, etc. all she does is get angry about trying to bring politics into a discussion.

At this point I've told her that if the worst should happen with Republicans getting their way and she loses her benefits I don't plan to help her at all. She'll be at the mercy of her own decisions. (Something her and my dad have said to my siblings and I a lot growing up.)

Edit: She votes Republican straight down the ballot every single election. And for positions where people don't declare their political party she doesn't vote for those positions because she, "Won't trust a rat who won't say who they are."

Edit 2: I accidentally a word or 2.

Mt St Helens Moon Lit [OC] (files.catbox.moe)
submitted 5 days ago by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

I took this picture on the last day of a not long enough vacation this month. I was really happy with how the moon had just enough light to give the shape of the mountain some contrast and how the wispy clouds cought the light from various sources.

I took this with my Lumix G9 with a 25mm f/1.7 lens, a 15 second exposure, and the iso set to 1600.

I had taken quite a few shots with the intent of stacking them but those attempts just didn't come out feeling like it did to be there. This shit though captured that feeling IMO.

I can't wait to give My Adams the same treatment later this year.

Seriously a great outlook about fixing things

It's already broke might as well try

Basically how I learned to fix everything I've ever fixed: TVs, game consoles, cars, trucks, appliances of all kinds, etc.

Hell my 75in 4k OLED TV in my living room cost me a grand total of $45 in parts.

Image Description:

A Tumblr post by user homunculus-argument that reads:

Was talking with my therapist about how it's possible to completely lose one's own identity to people-pleasing - when you grow up being constantly preoccupied with concerns about what other people want, and the ideal outcome is always whatever makes everyone else happy, it's possible to simply not learn to know yourself at all. If the only thing you've ever strived for in life is to make everyone else happy, you just never pause to think what you want, or what you would enjoy, independently from anyone else's desires.

As an example of this, I recalled that for the longest time, I just didn't listen to music when I was alone, because the thought never occurred to me. I didn't have my own taste in music, I was fine with listening to whatever the people I was with wanted to listen to, but whose music would I be listening to if I wasn't with anyone else? She thought this was a great observation, and gave me a homework assignment to find a song I like, just on my own and for myself, and show it to her next week.

So I guess my therapist is about to learn about the existence of mongolian folk metal.

End image description.

Crappy D20 [Rule] (files.catbox.moe)

After 250 rolls, 1 popped up 27 times. Or roughly 11% of the time.

I did this same test with all 17 D20's I have and 2 D20's from people in my DnD group.

This one was far and away the worst though I had more than I'd like with averages under 10.

Edit:

Here's the stats for the ones I tested

This excludes the data for the 2 D20's from the people in my DnD group as they didn't want that data shared outside of the group chat.
