That's literally the only 'old' bit, but I was still constantly pestered by people trying to get me to come with them to look at handbags and sunglasses, and I do mean constantly, to the point where I just left because I couldn't be arsed anymore.

Disagreed. I loved Venice. Was crowded but was very pretty and interesting, and had great food. You don't need to go to the expensive tourist places for good food. As always, see where locals eat.

A family bible is a book to record births, deaths, marriages. My granny has ours and it goes back about 300 years. No idea why they think it would have any impact on their plan.

They wouldn't be as annoying as they are if the people playing the games in the ads made good decisions. Seeing people fail through obvious bad choices is way more irksome than someone smashing it.

 

My 9 year old wants a gaming laptop and my laptop spec knowledge is minimal. He wants to play Fortnite and Minecraft and the like, nothing fancy. Any ideas re good laptops to buy, or good places to look? I'm in the UK and my budget is 300 quid tops, ideally less.
