I’m so glad to see so many new posts here! I started my streak with the intent of restarting this community. I feel I was successful. There are now multiple new posts every day and we’ve gained almost 200 subscribers. We still have just a few people posting, but I’m starting to see new names in the comments.

To those that have been posting thanks and keep up the good work. I want to see someone surpass my number of consecutive posts.

What are some tips and tricks that you’ve picked up during your time building Gunpla? Like the zippo fluid that @[email protected] uses.

1: Almost every kit looks better with panel line. Lining is king. All hail GM01.

2: Nub Control. Single beveled nippers are a gift from Hephaestus.

3: Naptha removes Tamiya Panel Liner and is more gentle than thinner.

4: Don’t throw anything away.

5: Make friends (build group) or if you’re as rural as I am, go hang out at the model train store.

My recent full paints. You folks have seen these already but I’m at the point now that I’ve posted pics of every Gunpla I still have in my possession. After much negotiations with my wife, who does in fact have the final say, I won’t be getting any new kits for a few weeks until my preorders come in from P-Bandai. So I guess I’m gonna lose my streak but maybe somebody new will pick up the torch.

It’s discussion times again. What’s in your backlog?

I’ll go first. I don’t have a physical backlog in the traditional sense, but I am waiting on some stuff from P-Bandai. I have pre-ordered an MG Tallgeese Fluegel, MG Altron, and MG Unicorn Recirculation.

MG Gouf

Custom paint and scribing. There’s no decals on this kit. I was inspired by a picture I found of an HG Gouf 21st Century Real Type. It tool a week of painting after work to de-Smurf, but I’m fairly satisfied with the way it turned out. My ham hands broke the horn 3 times and an ab joint once. The horn was my fault, but the abs are a weak design and care should be taken.

Somebody asked about entry grade a few days ago so here it is. I got it for free at The Gundam Base Mobile Tour 2024.

It’s an HG Dom or Rick Dom. I’m not sure how to tell them apart and at this point I’m afraid to ask.

HG Zaku II 21st Century Real Type

It’s basically a normal Zaku II with a few different colors. It comes with water slides, but they are super thin and break really easily.
