The case was brought forth at that point on behalf of 4,500 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who were unnecessarily segregated in Texas nursing facilities. And they were not getting even minimally adequate levels of services that is required by federal law."

Just shove people in the corner and ignore the laws. Typical gop thinking. society is judge by how it treats its most vulnerable.

Wow, sounds like lockup worthy offenses. Who went to jail over this?

Nobody 😀 The law is made up and the sentences don't matter for white collar crimes

Judge rules red state shithole has been violating vulnerable people's rights and harming them for decades, as red state shitholes always do.

I live in a red state shithole unfortunately, after having spent a good portion of my life in California. I'm not entirely convinced that the majority of people here aren't demons wearing human skin. Fucking ghouls without souls.

Having grown up to be a blue speck in a red shithole state, I agree. My partner is from Cleveland, and their entire extended family is Irish catholic. The last time we visited their family was right after our state effectively banned abortion. At one point, their uncle had a frank discussion where he basically said “hey, if you get pregnant and need to come “visit family” for a few weeks… Uhh… Just know that you’re always welcome to do so.”

Because outside of the Deep South, even the Irish Catholics are less conservative than my red shithole state.
