I think about them all the time actually...

[–] [email protected] 4 points 6 days ago

How about asking them not to be useless parasites who make things worse for the rest of us? That might help ensure their safety.

Imagine doing group therapy with 175 people

[–] [email protected] 5 points 6 days ago (1 children)

we protect everybody in the streets of New York

If they're not even currently protecting like a hundred CEOs .... 🤣🤣🤣🤣

[–] [email protected] 10 points 6 days ago (1 children)

One guy dies. Suddenly the fuckin governor is holding an all hands meeting to discuss using state funds to protect wealthy elite.

Poor New Yorkers die every day…crickets.

“We care about everyone equally.”

[–] [email protected] 3 points 6 days ago

"All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others."

[–] [email protected] 15 points 6 days ago

This is awesome, a whole new grift. I'm surprised that this isn't a Trump initative.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 6 days ago

the amount of cope in that post.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 6 days ago (1 children)

If only they’d be proactive about the root cause rather than “proactive with law enforcement intelligence “

[–] [email protected] 3 points 6 days ago (1 children)

I don't want a solution. I want to be mad.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago) (1 children)

¿Por qué no los dos? If we stay mad long enough, maybe we’ll get an actual change in health insurance coverage. Or even single payer

Then again, we may need to be mad for 4+ years

[–] [email protected] 2 points 6 days ago

Sorry, I meant like the CEOs don't want the solution to the root cause.

"Demonization of corporate executives is not new."

Huh, maybe if they acted in accordance with the social contract instead of lining their pockets with the blood of others.

Nobody says fuck the fire department.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 6 days ago (1 children)

In other news, demonization of actual demons also not new. It’s been showing signs of decline though, as much more effective evils steal the attention.

As a TST member, though no longer practicing exactly that direction, Satanism is objectively more moral than a lot of religions. Even the one it descended from. Well, I should say, as practiced by its members.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 days ago

TST in particular is far more moral than the religions I’m familiar with.

Just send the CEOs some (cheap) pizza, single topping. They seem to think that fixes everything.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

Only Little Caesars.

The other chains occasionally deliver something minimally edible by mistake.

[–] [email protected] 32 points 1 week ago (2 children)

So they'll all be in one room at the same time?

[–] [email protected] 19 points 6 days ago (2 children)

That doesn't sound very productive, a return to office would increase engagement.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 6 days ago

How the turn tables

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago

Isn't that interesting? Bet one whole security guard is sitting outside.

[–] [email protected] 19 points 1 week ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

"We protect everyone on the streets of New York, not just CEOs". While they might do that, this one murder has shown that for some people, the police really does the job they should be doing for everyone.

State assistance for corporate security

If we don't take the funds from healthcare budget, then Iran will win.

Hey gun people.

For decades I've been arguing you, and you always seem to think the 2A is very important for freedom in case you ever need to have a revolution.

I want to point out that here's an excellent chance to convince me I've been wrong about 2A being archaic.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 week ago (1 children)

95% of American gun owners are pussies that couldn't even get past the first hurdle when aiming at another human being unless their god king tells them to.

that's because they follow directions fairly well but lack the basic foundations of free thought.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

So let me get this straight: Not having free thought is what's keeping me from using my guns to murder people?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 6 days ago

That's begging the question that this shooting was a murder and not justified defense.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 week ago

Everybody deserves the protection of our law enforcement, unless you aren't wealthy or powerful. And if you're black, we'll be sure to harass and/or assault you.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 week ago

Maybe pull the bootstraps or something?

[–] [email protected] 45 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Huh. ~200 people who've screwed over a lot of people are going to be in the same place at the same time, and that fact has been advertised?

Wow. That takes some serious balls. I wish them luck.

[–] [email protected] 44 points 1 week ago (1 children)

It's going to be a zoom call. Though it would be hilarious if the governor actually hated CEOs, got them all in one place, and tried to consistently leak the info ahead of time.
