For those that have had enough of the Elon Musk worship online.

No flaming, baiting, etc. This community is intended for those opposed to the influx of Elon Musk-related advertising online. Coming here to defend Musk or his companies will not get you banned, but it likely will result in downvotes. Please use the reporting feature if you see a rule violation.

Opinions from all sides of the political spectrum are welcome here. However, we kindly ask that off-topic political discussion be kept to a minimum, so as to focus on the goal of this sub. This community is minimally moderated, so discussion and the power of upvotes/downvotes are allowed, provided lemmy.world rules are not broken.

Post links to instances of obvious Elon Musk fanboy brigading in default subreddits, lemmy/kbin communities/instances, astroturfing from Tesla/SpaceX/etc., or any articles critical of Musk, his ideas, unrealistic promises and timelines, or the working conditions at his companies.

Tesla-specific discussion can be posted here as well as our sister community /c/RealTesla.

They just finished building 20 or so chargers in a parking lot by my house when the fucking idiot fired the team. I joked that I guess those chargers were never going to come online.

But I was right. They still aren’t enabled yet.

I bet charging competitors were super grateful for his blunder.

And yet this twit is held up as an icon of management.

I assumed he threw a tantrum because someone told him “no”. Whether he came to his senses or some huge investor made him come to his senses, I have no idea

It was gasp a woman.

The whole saga of this shit is just super baffling. It was clearly a well-functioning department that essentially established what has become the national standard EV port… and he fires the team that owns it. Like… wat.

Anyone who came back to work for him is an idiot.

I'd ask for the salary from the time I was unemployed up front and a contract that guarantees my job on a yearly basis. Elon would never admit to caving to demands, but his yes-men in hiring would never tell him anyway.

Much efficiency, such genius.

Musk’s abrupt firing of the team initially seemed like a display of power—a way to assert control and show he could make tough decisions in the face of investor pressure.

A display of power is NOT caving to investor pressure and instead doing what is best for the company. This was a display of weakness.
