Lol, this assumes that free elections still exist. That is very unlikely. This is all the same long term cycle. People don't value democracy they value tiktok, real housewives, cheap gasoline and cheap eggs. There is no reason for them to recognize what they are losing before it's too late. It is what it is

The problem is, the economy will rally in 2025 because of rampant deregulation. That rally will be marketed as "a booming economy", even if it's tanking by midterms. This will fuck our midterms chances. I hope I am wrong, but it seems obvious to me.
Let the Democrat party die. We need a strong Labor party. Give it a different name, if desired, but we need a party that is unrelentingly for the people, not the corporations.
Such a party can only work if it has a hard rule forbidding corporate financial support in any form. As soon as corporate or billionaire money gets involved, it will revert instantly back to a neoliberal/conservative party.
It is not possible to have an honest political party that also accepts financial support from the oppressing class.
No, Democrats have to get a hold on the immigration issue. The only countries in this world where progressive policies actually thrive is where leftwing parties have adopted stricter immigration stances (e.g. Denmark). There's no way around it.
Edit: Sure, downvote and keep losing
Yes democrats will win again and republicans will win in the future as well. How insightful.
People have got to stop believing that "things will just work out."
No, they won't.
We aren't guaranteed anything. I'm sorry after school specials lied to you, but there is no "spirit of goodness" that permeates reality that will make all of this okay.
There are no heroes coming to save us from the fire.
We let the worst happen, and now if we ever want decency again, we are going to have to fight tooth and nail against tyrrany to make it happen. Period.
Don't waste your time listening to anyone still talking about this situation in terms of candyland simplicity and standard decorum. Not even the shitty status quo will save us, because we blew up the status quo in favor of fascism.
Tik tock (not the social media)voting
You think there's going to be another vote?
We'll see. Right now we are in an UNBELIEVABLY good economy and I keep hearing - even from so-called leftists and centrists - just how terrible the economy is, etc., etc.
Yes, maybe white collar jobs have softened somewhat, starting in 2022, party because some of Big Tech overhired, but seriously, look at the various indicators....it's almost all good.
Contrast this market with the dot-com bubble burst, or the 2008 fallout from banks fucking around with subprime markets. Just what is so bad about this economy?
Perception is king. If people feel poor, even if they are not poor, they are poor.
The market is not the economy.
The market is a measure of how much wealth is being extracted from the working class.
If that's what the economy is then it will never matter how good it is, because the working class people still can't afford shit.
From my experience talking with folks IRL they just food prices, home prices, and collage prices. My experience may be squed because I work at a supermarket and have to try to imply that it's the fault of greed without getting in trouble for making people not buying stuff a few times a week.
They mean the cost of living, not economy.
I wonder: did any of these people making these claims speak at all about what policy or policies changed this and what policy or policies will perform some kind of miracle to change it back?
We're a seesaw government now with both parties captured by corporations. Each party will take turns as the world turns to shit.
No, that's what we were.
That's how it's been for basically decades
