/c/TenFoward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Hating someone off of their race, culture, creed, sexuality, or identity is not remotely acceptable. Mistakes can happen but do your best to respect others.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon' and fuck over our artist friends.

Fun will now commence.

Gag is from "Married...with Children" S9E09 "No Pot to Pease In" and the title is from a bite the hand joke from King of the Hill.

Edit: I feel like everyone who upvoted this post is like 10 years from the old folks' home. See you there!

This kind of reference is like being in the 80s and someone making a joke about horseless carriages, auto gyros and the King of Siam.

I don't think there are many people online any more who remember having to wave around tin foil in weird positions or situations just to find the perfect interference to catch a TV signal to watch their favourite TV show.

I was a kid in the 80s and my older siblings often used me and my younger brother as signal antenna to watch a TV show. They had us hold the antenna in a particular way and stay there while they watched TV ... we'd complain stop and get threatened, go back and then eventually mom and dad would tell us all to stop and no one could watch any TV.

Also, Vulcans throwing shade at Marcy's hair is hilarious.

I bet the Phlox network wouldn't have been stupid enough to make Woops!

Holy crap. Memory unlocked. I could have sworn that show was just a fever dream.

Phlox network probably also wouldn't have made "Ask Harriet" either.

Thirteen episodes were to be aired on the channel, however, only five episodes were aired

It was like Tootsie the series but without any of the charm. I do vaguely remember Ed Asner giving a good performance though so there's that.

Now that's one I don't remember. I remember Woops! partially because of the misspelling, which always annoyed me, and partially because I was a junkie for post-nuclear stuff at the time so I remember how awful it was after being so excited about the idea.

The Last Man on Earth did so much better with the concept, although I think only season 1 of it was really any good.
