Flippant Anarchism. A lighter take on social criticism with the aim of agitation.

Post humorous takes on capitalism and the states which prop it up. Memes, shitposting, screenshots of humorous good takes, discussions making fun of some reactionary online, it all works.

This community is anarchist-flavored. Reactionary takes won't be tolerated.

Every empty slogan harbours the ambition of one day growing up to be a thought-terminating cliche.

It is really unfortunate that Vylan can't tell the difference between leaders and bosses - but that seems to be the state of radical politics these days.

Its okay if you cant (fully) relate to the shared experiences and feel emotions such as pain and anger behind those words. I certainly can and that what makes it powerful to me.

Its okay if you cant

It's okay if you cannot appreciate behaviours that are more fundamental to human society than even speech is... but do not blame anarchism for said inability.

Hey i dont know why you are reacting with such negativity. I also am surprised that you make such statements without acknowledging that words can have very different meanings to individuals and groups based on lots of really simple factors. Your understanding of the word leader is not better or more correct than anyone elses.

without acknowledging that words can have very different meanings to individuals

Yes, let's pretend everybody's understanding of words are equally valid. Let's pretend the capitalist's framing of the word "anarchism" is perfectly valid. Let's pretend the fascist's framing of the word "socialism" is perfectly valid. Let's pretend the liberal's framing of the word "democracy" is perfectly valid.

What could possibly go wrong, eh?

Don't be angry at me because you got caught doing a lot of talking about a concept that you assumed you understood but oh-so-obviously did not.

We don't really think there's much of a difference in the end. They still create a hierarchy and personally, we're strongly against hierarchies.

[–] [email protected] -3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

We don’t really think

Who is "we?"

Your inability to differentiate between leaders and bosses is not an anarchist problem - it's a you problem.

Soooo... would you prefer "we" lynch Bob Vylan? What did you think he was doing when he was leading you in that chant?

Please see our profile.

Okay we'll bite, how do you define the difference between leaders snd bosses?

Please see our profile.

Oh. Okay.

how do you define the difference between leaders snd bosses?

My "definition" (I do so hate that term) doesn't matter squat... what matters is that I reject the status quo's propagandised definition of it.

Why do you think these CEOs, political racketeers, bureaucrats and people with all sorts of fancy titles describe themselves (and are described as such by their lapdogs in the media) as "leaders" when they understand fully that they are absolutely nothing of the sort?

Do you think your boss really believes you'd "follow" him if he wasn't paying you to do so?

A leader is someone you follow out of your own free will - not someone that is imposed on you from above with the threat of structural or physical violence.

It's really not difficult to understand once you strip away all the propaganda that term has been loaded with.

Okay, well. We tend not to follow anybody, specifically because that still creates a hierarchy and again we don't like those, not even in our relationships.

If we did though, it probably would not be for very long as we tend to pretty much to go our own way, even in a crowd or organisation etc. We may agree with a position but that doesn't mean we are following a person or people etc.

We're not sure why you're so dedicated to saying everyone does or must follow somebody (even of their own free will), but we don't see how that is a particularly anarchist position to do so. As to us at least, we eschew hierarchy and that is due to anarchism.

Thanks for explaining though, we appreciate that.

[–] [email protected] -1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

We tend not to follow anybody,

What did you think you're doing when you listen to Vylan's music or watching him on a stage, genius?

As to us at least, we eschew hierarchy and that is due to anarchism.

Again... your inability to recognise and appreciate fundamental human social behaviour is not an anarchist problem - it's a you problem.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

listen to Vylan’s music or watching him on a stage, genius?

Listening to music or watching a performer on stage, that's all. Again we might agree with somebody, but that doesn't mean we are following them.

fundamental human social behaviour

Good thing we aren't human then.

This isn't really going anywhere productive, therefore we wish you a good day and hope you will be well.

Listening to music or watching a performer on stage, that’s all.

So you had no choice in it, huh? You must be an advertiser's dream, then.
