Bought a lil indie game called Tiny Glade. Super fucking chill, no management, no quests, no objectives. Just some basic tools, cute, tilt-shifted graphics, and you build a tiny lil town. It's adorable and so so relaxing. I was worried for a moment about it being perhaps too barebones, but I've built a main street, a lil castle, raised some land and made a flower hill with a lake, and made a silo. There's a lot they could add, but it's a bit procedural in a way (increasing/decreasing the size and shape of a building causes it to generate to make sense). Coloured everything I could colour. I have so much more to build for my little hamlet
Also have a look at Townscaper. That might be too basic maybe.
I have islanders but thatβs got a little bit of a twist with laying out stuff and makes you think.
I'll check those out, I really enjoy city Sims, just the building aspect really. I like the creation.
Thatβs so nice to be able to chill with something like that.
How much time have you lost to it already?
An hour or so, I'm tired but now all I can think about is making more things haha
Down the rabbit hole you go.
like the original Populous game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vEJPlseI57o
Why is the music so creepy wtf
um, that's what computer game music was like back then
The beating heart and breathing effects, coupled with the orchestral organ thing going on, make me anxious haha it's an amazing game! Really cool that there a few ways to approach it too, build up armies, natural disasters, lowering the land, it's really cool!
That one brings back memories.
Opening night of Come From Away by CLOC was so fun. Love the show and they did an excellent job. I may have cried a few times.
Help! Party tomorrow and he has the vapours or might caught have something! NO NO nO!
Quarantine immediately!
What's the etiquette around calling about a job after it closes? I put in for a job I really want and it closed today.
I'll bedamned if I leave it in god's hands from here. Do I call on Monday mentioning I have some ideas I'd like to put in a presentation if I get an interview? Something to tease their curiosity a bit?
I would wait a few days. You don't want to seem desperate. I know it's stupid, but that's the way it is.
When you speak to HR, just ask if they have narrowed down the applicants.
I was thinking I'd call the contact person that would be the manager of the role. I'll wait until the middle of the week and I can use that time to draft what I'd present to them
I have no idea. Monday does seem a bit early to call, they might not have even processed all the applications yet.
Ended up watching Zack and Miri tonight....such a sweet movie
What sort of a movie was it?
Cute flick about best friends making a porno
Nigh nighs
Aussie womenβs T20 on tonight at 1am against Pakistan.
Iβm going to try and stay up for it again.
I think itβs available on Amazon Prime if you have a sub with them.

summon lord kitchener i have news of the front
That looks good. I am green with envy
Barring the one on the far left, they're roughly the locations of original concrete and brick dividers in a garden bed i've been painstakingly prying out out and cleaning up over the past year (salvagable concrete chunks will become crazy paving, bricks a pathway). His Lordship liked the dividers, but they had to come out, they were falling apart, cracking and subsiding, plus i wanted to put in raised and wicking beds (getting old and i already broke my back).
It also has a retaining wall around it, but no outlet for water (and at the bottom of a slope), so it bogs a bit...my solution was getting a hole punched in the side, dig agi in along the divider lines and when i backfill i'm gonna echo the original dividers by having channels of river pebbles famed by aluminium edging along the lines.
like this but with mulch instead of grass
ooh that looks like it is taking serious shape.
Nice job there.
What are you going to be planting there?
Drainage pipe
That do be some diggin'.
Then comes the geo and the gravel and the agi and more gravel and one area gets dirt but the others get mansfield pebbles and aluminium edging
Wish I was as good with hoes as you are
All about the edger'ing babyyy
that looks so awesome
kudos
The awesome comes with the backfill...
