Best webcomic I've read in a while. The intrinsic hilarity of the situation was ridiculously refreshing compared to the usual 'straining to come up with something funny / clever.'
Comic Strips
Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

Thank you. I agree about many comics straining to find humor. That's why I don't make very many comics.
The pattern on Buky's face is almost exactly the same as my cat except mirrored 😅
Aw damn. I hate cats, but found this hilarious. Also made me miss my cay that just died...
I babysat our old neighbor's cat a couple of times while she was out of town. Said cat would only drink water from a pitcher placed under the leaky bathtub faucet and was constantly angry at the drops on her head. Cats are very clever idiots.
I don't know about anyone else, but I gave up on these water fountain style bowls ages ago. They're always made out of plastic and they always grow nasty shit in them and they are super hard to clean. Then if you scratch the plastic while cleaning it it just grows even more stuff the next time and you end up in a vicious cycle. 😩
I'm back to plain old porcelain bowls from the pet store
My cat would always try to drink out of people cups, so I conceded. There are tea cups on the ground in the hallway for him.
I have a steel one, dishwasher every couple weeks cleans it out nicely
Yeah, the stainless steel ones are great if you have a dishwasher. I can understand if people don't want the upkeep of replacing filters and that black ring thing around the pump, though. And honestly the pump itself needs to be replaced every 1.5-2 years even if you clean it well.
We have 2 ceramic water fountains that don't have these problems.
The pump is hard to clean, but it's worth it for the amount of water our little guy drinks.
Bro needs a wide bowl. If their whiskers touch anything they would rather die than drink.
I am outraged at the lack of photo evidence of how Bucky drinks water
Past me is absolutely furious that I don't have one ready. We switched to a pagoda style fountain a few years ago, so the best I can do is this low quality picture of him from 14 years ago as a kitten.
My beloved cat friend, Jack, passed early this year. He was amazing. A highland lynx, absolutely massive, and clumsy as they come. He would only drink water from one of these for years, but refused to ever stick his face in it. He was a polydactyl, meaning he had giant enormous feet with extra toes. He could cup his paws like hands, and would scoop water from the basin (not the stream), and drink from it like some kind of royalty.
His paws were constantly wet, and our home always had cat paw prints on the floor, and I miss that so much.
Bucky's little sister passed last year, and although she was overall a much stranger cat, she drank from the waterfall part of the fountain. Sometimes Bucky would get in uncomfortably close and stare at her mouth while she was drinking. It's hard not to imagine him unable to see the water, thinking, "What are you even doing?? There's nothing there!"
Sorry for your loss. I hear it's supposed to get easier, but personally I'm still waiting.
I love that image. Haha. Cats are such strange creatures, aren't they?
And you're the artist here? I love this. Looking forward to me!
Jack sounds like he was a great friend. Rest in peace
He was amazing. 16 when he passed. I'd had him by my side literally half of my life. Dude was awesome. He was like a saint Bernard shoved into a cat's body. Lol. He loved to drool on you, and we couldn't leave tomatoes or onions out. They were not safe around him.
