Jesus. Yeah, we get some drownings here, but nothing like that. There's this one spot in the county I used to live in called the blue hole, where the water is always 45 degrees, and kids dare each other to jump in. They freeze up or cramp and drown.

Paper work is the problem, my doctor's office sucks. My actual doctor is great. Literally the best experience with a doctor we've ever had, but the office is terrible. Still waiting on an ultrasound of my gallbladder for 8 months, waiting on testosterone shots for low t for 1.5 years, plus other shit, and that's just me. My mom had to wait 3 months for colostomy supplies because they couldn't manage to fax the prescription correctly. She had to wash out and reuse ostomy bags using skin safe glue and tape to stick them on. But they're the only ones around here. It's a big corp that bought out all the other practices that didn't shut down, so they are literally the only PCP in the area. Even the urgent care is owned by the same people. No matter which office you go to it's all the same problems. :/ but at least our doctor is good. Lol.

Makes sense. I did assume it was swimmable during the summer. I just figured it was like in Maine and New Hampshire where it was a short season. Do y'all ever get to swim anywhere besides pools? I'm a southern kid, I grew up swimming in lakes, rivers, the ocean. Just about everything but the swamps lol

Can't watch that yet, no earbuds at the moment. Lol. Do y'all not swim in the ocean? I grew up in Virginia Beach, VA. We went to the beach. Like 9 months out of the year. Lol.

The look in that cat's eyes tell you that it was not okay with what happened.

They could... But for over a year I've been waiting :/

Maybe not falling into the ocean, but does the idea of earth quakes, like "the big one" ever freak you out? I'd imagine I'd get used to little ones pretty quick, but the society-collapsing earthquake built up in my brain is very scary! Lol

Also, contacted my work and asked about transferring out there. We might actually be doing this!

It'd be amazing to have my own little secret abandoned city haha

It's honestly my favorite. The other ones are great, but faith of the heart is amazing.

New Trek's intros are too long, tbh. I like them, but they're way too long, and paramount plus never gives me the option to skip, so they get irritating if you're binging.

Buffy's was also amazing, but ent still takes the cake for me

One more thing, how concerned should I be about falling into the ocean if the cascades fault goes?

Wtaf, how are the prices in Portland better than in my little hick town in Tennessee? Jeeze

Just looked it up, and I'll make almost exactly 3 more dollars an hour, too. Honestly, this is worth genuinely considering

Hey, folks, I'm new to this side of things, and I'm hoping someone can help me out.

I just signed up 5tb of storage through Hetzner's storage share, using nextcloud. I like it so far, but I'm running into an issue. I figured out how to make multiple users, but I don't know how to (or if I can) restrict different users to specific folders. We're broke, so this is going to be shared between me, my mom, my brother, and my sister in law. If it's possible, I'd like to create a folder for each of us, and restrict access to that folder to just that person. I don't want to be able to see what's in my brother's folder, and I don't want my mom seeing what's in mine, et cetera. I've tried to google it and look it up on youtube, but most of what I can find isn't related, and if it is, it's a bunch of technospeak that I don't really understand about self-hosting, which I'm not doing. If it's possible, it would be cool to have a central shared folder as well, but we could just share links with each other when we want to share something if needed.

Any help is really appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hey, folks, I'm hoping someone here can help me out.

I have a laptop that has been messed up for a while, and I just got it repaired. I was using as basically a desktop, external monitor, mouse, keyboard. I just got it repaired and would like to use it as a laptop again. My problem is that something like 2 years ago, I edited some setting so that I could close the lid of the laptop and it wouldn't suspend, but I can't remember how I did it, and now it won't suspend when I close it, which is less than convenient for use as a laptop.

I googled, but it's not in GNOME tweaks anymore, and I'm not sure how to do any of the stuff I see people posting about terminal commands. I can follow instructions for command line stuff, but I sort of need it spelled out for me from step 1.

Any help is really appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Okay, so I don't really have a lot of gay people in my life irl, so I don't have anyone to talk to about this that might actually understand why this is so great.

I don't date a lot. Like, I'm 33, and I've been on maybe 5 actual dates. Lots of hook ups, a couple boyfriends, but actual dates? Basically none.

Well, I had a hook up tonight that I ended up inviting to a trivia game at a local bar, because I needed a team mate. He agreed, we lost miserably, and I had the best date of my life. He kissed me in the parking lot, and texted for hours after. I had to go to Walmart on the way home, and he asked me to come over on my drive home. Not to hook up, just because he wanted to kiss me goodnight.

I know it's early days, but honestly, I had given up on the prospect of dating at all. I really like this guy, and I've got my hopes up a little bit. He also called it a great date, and wants to make another.

Frick, y'all, I feel like a giddy teenager

Hey, folks, I just got a new phone, and reinstalled Eternity on it. But no matter which account I try to log in with, I'm getting an error ("cannot fetch user info") when I try to log in.

Any help is much appreciated. I'm not sure if eternity is on the play store, but I got it through f droid if that matters.
