Our last run was focused on intellect mainly with some psyche mixed in. I'm partial to trying a physical instrument or motorics build with half light as my special skill (or whatever it's called).

Any other recommendations?

It overlaps with your previous run, but I had loads of fun with an art cop

I really enjoyed doing a high-Motorics ultralib superstar run. Become an action movie hero cop. Having high Perception and Reaction Speed skills reveals SO MUCH useful information.

But to be honest I don't think there's ever been a playstyle that I DIDN'T enjoy.

It baffles me how vastly different the play experience can seemingly be just from the signature skill(s) you focus on

If you didn't have it on your first run, going HARD in on Shivers will give you a lot more flavour and insights and world building. It's many people's favourite skill for a reason. It can be done even with low-middling FYS, just make sure to go for either Apocalypse Cop or Hobocop, plus try to grab the Bow Collector.

If you tried being "reasonable" your first run you will most likely be surprised by how many rewarding dialogue lines open up by committing to being completely unhinged and deranged. Electrochemistry is of course very entertaining, but as you seem to have already sussed out Half-Light is the sleeper hit of the FYS skills. He's absolutely hilarious.

If you're okay with it, the FYS skills will pull you into the Fascist vision quest, and without spoiling it I will say that it is actually different than you think at first and in the end a super interesting (if depressing) vision quest.

One of my favourite playthroughs I've watched went hard on FYS and basically had the mindset of "I'm never saying no to these guys's suggestions". It was extremely interesting.

Otherwise, just try to do stuff you didn't in your first playthrough. Try to remember whenever you went "no, better not, this is probably a bad idea" and this time don't chicken out.
