Ahh i saw that one coming, still funny

A true old god would have given him new legs and then sacrificed them, Araknatu Schmucknaktu.

Careful, somebody might post this in Wholesome Memes.

I mean judging by the cast, he could have used his upper body strength to get in the regular cloud death swing. But I guess it's cool Aranaktu is thoughtful enough to include accessibility.

maybe he has other hidden disabilities that prevent him from doing that. dont be so closeminded

Too late. Into the volcano.

Ah, nice to see this Perry Bible Fellowship classic. Always a favorite.

What are they up to now?

I was always bummed they didn't become a bigger thing, like a book or series.

I'm honestly not sure. Nick didn't publish anything for like 10 years but then some more comics tickled out for a while and stopped again. Maybe there's an interview somewhere.

I get it. I was the same way with YouTube videos until I decided I just didn't want to do them anymore. I would do them in spurts of creativity. (Get your mind out of the gutter!)

am i the aranaktu for laughing

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 month ago

Do you accept gifts?

[–] [email protected] 61 points 1 month ago (2 children)

I'm not seeing the wheelchair ramp on the volcano

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Where we're going you don't need wheelchairs to move

Happy Cakeday! 🍰🎂

That's what the rainbow lifts are for.

[–] [email protected] 25 points 1 month ago (7 children)

Wouldn't the second one seeing the first one released over the volcano simply jump off into the ocean?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 month ago

Aranaktu looks like he's a least a kilometer tall. Those children were doomed the moment they sat on those rainbow swings.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 month ago (1 children)

A cloud descenda out of the sky and offers a rainbow swing to sit on and fly away. The only way a sane person would ever ride on that, unprompted and unprepared to see such a thing, is if there was a charm or mesmerizing effect happening. These folks stood no chance. The clouds showed up and Aranaktu welcomed them all.

The other way would be if someone hadn't had all hope and wonder removed from them

That's why old groucy cynics rarely get dropped into Volcanos. Remember kids being a Sourpuss saves your life.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 month ago

It's not just a volcano, it's Aranaktu. Why would you pass up your one chance?

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 month ago

It's not clear whether the people know they're going off to be sacrificed or not. Maybe they're glad to do it.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 month ago

We don't know that the rainbows can't restrain you

[–] [email protected] 32 points 1 month ago (1 children)

They're pretty high up, don't think they'd survive the splat

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 month ago (2 children)

They wouldn't survive the sizzle either.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

Sure, but, I mean, it's Aranaktu.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 month ago

Yeah, I'd probably risk the water, but I doubt you'd come away unscathed

[–] [email protected] 70 points 1 month ago (1 children)

And miss out on the sweet release from this mortal coil?

[–] [email protected] 60 points 1 month ago (4 children)

Probably not, because contrary to what video games would indicate, water does not prevent all fall damage.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

You might be able to get away with just broken legs if you landed right. Then you'd be in the middle of the ocean was broken legs.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 month ago

So the older video games told me the truth! - that the slightest contact with any body of water is instantly fatal from any height.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 month ago

In fact, it prevents almost no fallcdamage beyond 20 feet

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 month ago (1 children)

You lied to me, Aonuma san! ;_;

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 month ago (1 children)

You TOLD ME THE TRUTH original Assassin's Creed.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 1 month ago

Sure, sure, water doesn't prevent fall damage, but a well placed hay pile and a properly executed dive will...
