David Bowie, "it seems you may be racist, why is that?"
Adult with lime green socks, "no, not us."
David Bowie, "if you look and see, it appears you are. How come?"
Person who I can only see the back of their head, "couldn't be, never."

Why does Will Smith only play black people?
Why does Will Smith always play opposite Latino girls?
Before or after he said Hitler was the original rock star?
About a decade after 🤦 Jesus I hope he came around on this before he died
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Thin_White_Duke
The Thin White Duke was the persona and character adopted by the English musician David Bowie for public appearances in the mid-1970s.
[…]
The Thin White Duke became a controversial figure due to ostensibly pro-fascist statements made by Bowie in press interviews during this period. Soon after making the comments, Bowie claimed that they were "theatrical" remarks made in character and did not reflect his actual views.
Thank you for this!
Dammit. What is it with my favourite musicians and Hitler?
With Bowie it was definitely easy too much cocaine...
One of my favorite quotes of all time came from a psychiatrist, speaking on Mel Gibson's famous drunk driving tirade:
"You can't pour vodka on a turnip and have it say anti-semitic remarks."
However, Bowie claims it was a stage persona. Why he decided on a fascist for the persona is a decent question on its own, but I don't think "because cocaine" is a good explanation by itself.
And now they don't play music at all. If you don't count the MTV Classic channel.
Rob Dyrdek finessed his way into MTV and now he's all they air. Dude hustled MTV cuz their management got lazy and he basically took over for them.
I never even had MTV. Any Canadian know if Much Music still exists and/or plays music?
Much still exists, but there hasn't been music on there for a long time.

Funny thing. I didn't have MTV growing up. I had Much Music. I'm from the US btw.
That's... unexpected.
How did that come to be?
Safe bet, MTV cost too much for my cable company.
Bowie was an interesting dude.
Also a pedophile, but one we mostly overlook because he made some great songs and was awesome in a muppet movie.
Not to condone what he did, but there is a clear distinction between being attracted to a 13 year old girl, and being attracted to an actual prepubescent girl, you know, the latter being the kind actual pedophiles prey upon.
I feel dirty typing the above, but what's fair is fair.
Nah, get caught with pictures of naked 13 years olds and tell me how that goes for you.
Yes, of course that's a crime, and it's disgusting. But it's not pedophilia.
Think setting a house on fire vs setting a house in fire with a family inside. Different crimes.
Yeah because clearly there's a huge difference between 12 and 13, we all know girls reach puberty on their 13th birthday.
Fucking pedo apologist.
Good thing you're not a lawyer or a judge. This kind of conversation has been done over and over and over again ad nauseum, so I won't engage with you in this respect. Think whatever you want. I know what I'm talking about, and I know how to think with my brain while setting my feelings aside.
They don't want to use their brains. They just want to be outraged and mad at others.
I have looked into this, he is certainly not a serial pedophile or rapist by any stretch. The single account that seems credible does not feel that she herself is a victim. The only other person with an account that paints him as any sort of predator is basically regarded as not credible, from what I've read. Any accusation will make a celebrity problematic to a certain extent of course, but I don't feel that bad about enjoying his music given the nature of the accusations. As contrasted by basically every time I hear a Michael Jackson song at this point.
She may not feel like a victim but if she was underage then it shouldn't make him less guilty. I'm unfamiliar with the case you're referring to.
Sources?
Unparalleled
No doubt. He either released himself or produced multiple of my favorite albums.
