I've seen people go too far the other way, too.
What are you talking about, "it would be cool if cepholopods lived on land"? They live in marine habitats, and are just as evolutionary successful as a result, you dirty pedant.
Or, even worse:
Pandas won't mate and are going extinct. If you don't want to be a panda you're wrong, because this is nature.
