I've just put together the small bookshelf I bought for the lounge room, now I just need to summon the energy to do the bedside tables and I'll be done with flatpacks. Tomorrow I'll be taking the polystyrene to the recycling centre and finalising the stuff at my old house. Then I'll be able to fully focus on the unpacking and sorting here.

Today was AWESOME, met so many familiar and wonderful faces at this event and really recharged, invigorated by the presentations and this glorious sun has really perked me up as well. Wrapped up early and probably not working tomorrow, but I'll have at least earned some extra dough this week and have a bit more breathing space to catch up on life stuff. I might even look up what's on this weekend. But for the next couple of hours, it's journalling time before the psych

porridge eaten, dog walked, two loads of washing on the line drying, cat cuddles underway. Today is going fairly well. Except for my grinder dying (with a minor smell of electrical burning just to be dramatic). I shall have to order a new one.

Edit: I have now ordered a new one.

shells i got yesterday

these are Pacific Ocean shells, they are big, but then the bigger ones are more likely to survive the rocky shore and waves intact

one of them is just a piece of a tun shell ( these are usually very big ) but I often pick up pieces just to know what kind of shells are around

Melbcat seems okay. I’m waiting to see if the latest issue resolves but she’s got a good appetite, is washing herself, and got up to curiously follow a visitor around. She doesn’t seem to be uncomfortable or have pain.

She keeps giving me the biggest fright πŸ˜…

The old manager tried to take a swipe at me again today.

Mate, just fuck off lol

Can't let it go can he?

Man that sucks.

I fucked him right back and it was glorious hahaha

I suspect all these swipes and the drama is just a distraction from general incompetence and possible illegal actions.

Some of you know I write books. And I write spooky stories for kids. These stories are set in Tasmania. I have written 7 books in the series over the past 3 or so years.

Why is it only now I have thought up the story idea titled "How I got my Second Head?"

Staring at me this whole time.

I was part of the Medibank, Optus and Latitude cyber hacks, and just received a notification from Qantas that I'm involved in theirs. Protection of my personal information is just meaningless at this point.

Yet voting in elections online is too risky. πŸ€”

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 days ago

We know all about you, Steve.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 days ago

Yeah, same for me with Qantas and Optus. Optus breach made me leave them and not pay my last bill because fuck them. Debt has since been sold to a collection agency and I just ignore their calls πŸ˜‚ my debt is under $170 so they'll write it off eventually, it's been a few years now haha

But yeah, personal data not being personal anymore? I'm really fucking sick of it. Qantas can suck my metaphorical dick.

I found a 32gb SD card in a draw. I put it in my computer and it only reads 30mb of storage capacity and it needs to be formatted.

But it can't be formatted because it's write protected.

I plug it into some computers I have and it doesn't get read at all. What's on this SD card and why doesn't it want me to know? What did I use this SD card for before?

I could probably write a haunted media story about it for reddit for 30 updoots

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Have you looked at it on a linux machine?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 days ago (4 children)

I have, both through the file explorer and terminal. They're the two computers that can't detect it at all. One with an adapter and the other with a direct micro SD card slot
