Kamala/Walz memes > Obama/Biden memes?

I mean, yes, the couch thing is funny, and it's been a while since Democrats have celebrated a good old fashioned nothing burger (something the right does far too often -- some of them are still not over the transvestigation of that one Olympic boxer -- and it's about time we fought fire with fire), but it's kind of run its course, hasn't it? I feel like we're beating a dead horse here.

Beating the dead horse is the joke

Now I've explained the joke, which makes it funnier.

I sort of agree with you. It's entering "That One Joke" territory.

I think the reason this joke gets so much play is because it annoys the Republicans and it's been a long time since the Democrats have been able to rally around a joke that annoys them.

Sort of like zippers on couch cushions.

Or so I imagine.

That and the internet loves a running joke. Lemmy's no exception, what with the beans and the jeans and the stock pic memes 😁

transvestigation

I love the idea of a portmanteau here (and respect the additional pun of “transvest” being in the word itself), but I’d still put forth “transquisition,” as it IMO references its absolute nothing-burger-ness better.

I think its still funny because the right is very annoyed by it. As long as it still offends and upsets them, it remains funny to me.

I wonder if it was a pullout couch?

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 months ago

It wasn't. They had twins.

I hope so, otherwise we’ll have little racist futons in a few months.

I'm leaning positive on Harris but I'd give Walz my Netflix and Disney+ password.

I’d feel comfortable sharing my Amazon Prime. I don’t think he’d judge my choices.
