I didn't click because of the back story in title. Too reddity. All that was missing is that you were homeless and had a rescue dog. That had been bullied.

Seems neat. Will there be realistic eating sounds, and a way to turn them off for people like me with misophonia?

Honestly games that don't let you turn off eating/misc noises like that just aren't worth the money.
