This is hunting gun that shot lead peper. Still not harmless, but it peper cannot go through wall, so chance you harm someone unintentional is low.
Oh I'm well aware of the capabilities of a bb gun. As were the manufacturers and they led with gun safety and responsibility in their own ad to prove the kid was ready for gun ownership. You don't see that these days. Hell probably not the last two decades at least. This just helps describe a decline in gun owner/manufacturing emphasis on personal responsibility with guns as it led towards fear mongering as a sales strategy.
