The deck has a relatively low res screen for a reason. Unless you get a more powerful APU, more pixels don't really make sense.

There are two things that absolutely kill it for me:

First, requiring an alternative BIOS provided by the company or the community. This is a third party niche screen, I can't trust that five years from now there will be somebody updating this custom BIOS, or that it will never cause issues conflicting with Valve official updates.

The second pain point is having to manually go to each game's Steam settings and set the correct resolution, as by default the Steam Deck will tell games it's running within a 1280x800 canvas even if the screen itself is running under a different resolution.

I'd only be able to tolerate major problems like these if this screen was indeed some crazy upgrade - but it isn't. Some panels have slightly betterr color handling, others are closer to the original display. Blacks are similar. Response times are similar. Perhaps LCD backlight bleed will be better due to the company being able to sort out better displays as they're selling individual parts... But that's about it.
