American here - our FEC takes a very dim view of satirical and otherwise non-existent candidates who file the paperwork to run, which makes me curious... If the Count were to win, who would actually take the seat? Have we any idea who is behind the (highly effective) satire, and would they be able to seamlessly serve?
UK Politics
General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don't post to both [email protected] and [email protected] .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.
Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.
Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.
If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)
Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.
Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.
[email protected] appears to have vanished! We can still see cached content from this link, but goodbye I guess! :'(
Best man in politics.
This idiot might well be the difference between Sunak holding his seat and losing it.
What I really want to happen here is for him to win his seat. And then he has to resign causing a by-election resulting in a Labour win.
It would be his final coup de grace just to reaffirm in everyone's minds what an utterly useless prime minister he was.
4 points! If he doesn't beat Sunak, there's no justice in this world.
Make it happen, people.
Not that I think Sunak has any intention of sticking around in UK politics after the election, but still.
Taserface has him beat.
Nah, binface seems pretty well grounded.
