I'm just here so I can post the 1000th comment
Coward shit.
Boo. Fie and Shame upon your house.
Shame! Shame! Shame!
good thing I followed the advice not to use lemmy.world lol
Which instance is recommended?
not entirely sure, I'm still new here. I haven't had any problems with lemm.ee
there's probably a thread in [email protected] where people discuss the pros and cons of different instances
Thank you. I hope somebody can chime in and give me the instance to use.
Indeed
I mean this was why I left. Piracy discussion is my canary for the internet coal mine. If it dies I leave. You guys killed it so I left. It's your server and your business but the canary was dead so I got out.
Pathetic
Bwhahahahaha Reddit is more liberated than Lemmy, what a fucking embarrassment.
What's the line, self-censorship is the first sign an authoritarian has won.
Just use a better instance than .world...
Looks like we finally found the part of lemmy.ml that this site is comfortable with blocking.
This sort for reminds me of a Sybil attack.
I think itβs a good idea for everyone to register at an obscure Lemmy instance. If everyoneβs on lemmy.world, it isnβt truly federated.
Reddit allows piracy communities. These Lemmy communities arenβt hosted on your servers. Thatβs the whole thing - dbzer0.com and lemmy.ml are taking the risks, though there probably arenβt many risks in the first place.
Definitely think you should allow them again. Obviously not on your instance but restricting access to other instances is just not right. I do understand the concern though, I really hope in the end you realllow them.
If you're going to ban piracy you should also ban all pro copyright communities and comments, it's only fair.
Stop blocking things. Piracy is ethical
You gonna pay for their lawyers to fight that fight?

Yeeeep. I stopped using my LW account once you people simped to Facebook federation.
lemmy.world has become reddit.
Thats why you all should chose an another instance.
is this the new most downvoted post on lemmy?
Unpinned hoping this goes away?
