I meant doctored as in literally editing the photo, not the sign, but if they had a white sharpie and a straight edge of some kind, I could see it working.

Congress evacuated, and Mike Pence was waiting with Secret Service outside of his car. Secret service wanted him in the car, but he refused on the grounds that they would evacuate him off site, and he felt it was important to stay.
January 6th insurrectionists built gallows on the Capitol lawn.
After Mike Pence did the bare-minimum in fulfilling his constitutional duties by affirming the election results, the protesters who thought he'd follow the plan began chanting, "Hang Mike Pence."
