THE DANISH DEMSOCS MIGHT BE THE BIGGEST PARTY IN DENMARK. The liberal fraction is still the biggest in Denmark however

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago (1 children)

is their foreign policy any good?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Shit I thought they were better, but looking at their website it says this:

A common European defense policy We live in a time when undemocratic regimes commit war crimes and spread misinformation. We live in a time when we can once again risk Trump taking the White House and becoming the first president of the United States. Where Putin believes he must resurrect the Soviet Union as a new superpower. Where Iran constitutes an increasingly aggressive force in the Middle East. And where North Korea tries to play with their muscles and play with their war toys. That is why it is crucial that Europe sticks together.

Europe is a strong community Denmark is a small country, but if we stand together with our European neighbours, in a solid community, we stand much stronger. There is a need to show the rest of the world that Europe holds together – that Europe is a strong community that fights for a free world supported by human rights, freedom and international law and order. SF believes that the EU's defense policy must have a special focus on ensuring stability and peace in the EU's neighboring countries. The EU is fundamentally a peace project, and it must also be the foundation for the EU's foreign policy in the future.

European independence Together, we Europeans must strengthen cyber security and joint defense of critical infrastructure in Europe. We need European independence in energy, health, transport, food, defense equipment and digitalisation. In addition, we must ensure that the African countries in particular, qua the union, have a real alternative to their cooperation with China and Russia.

"It's been two years since Russia launched a brutal attack on Ukraine. It is in difficult times that we must stand together in defense of our common values: Democracy, freedom, rule of law and human rights. The complete opposite of what Putin's regime stands for.”

I'm not excited anymore. Enhedslisten (another DemSoc party) seems to have the same opinions as well.

Seems like the communist party is the only good option in Denmark., but they are too small to participate in elections yet

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago

unfortunately, basically every "democratic socialist" (kind of a red flag, implying that socialism isn't inherently democratic) party in the West seems to be closer to socdems than communists

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago

I'm nervous about the EU elections happening now. Let's hope communist parties will gain some more seats.

I am an assessor at my local voting office, staying there from 7h30 to after the votes are counted (polls close at 20h00, it is only 11h20 right now). Making the most of a useless election...

Maybe the Communist party will suspiciously win 99.999% of the votes only at my voting office only and nowhere else fed

is zone of interest good ?

Last day before the elections. Our team went out today at local events to gather votes. We managed to convince around 500 people to vote for us tomorrow. Throughout our total campaign we managed to convince something like 5000 people. That's just one group in one specific city.

Yeah pretty much. Chances are we might get even more, so let's hope 🤞🏼

Got rejected from another job despite everything going really well with an initial phone interview.

I did horribly on the video interview and I despise that corporations can’t even give you the time of day for a 15 minute in-person interview to save money. I just can’t talk to a lifeless computer, and there’s nothing I do worse at. Doesn’t matter what my resume looks like, or how well I can speak, I can’t talk to a fucking computer.

I don’t get how anyone else has a decent job. There’s nothing in a 50km radius available in the shithole where I am, and I can’t move. I just want to give up. Well guess there’s always the minimum wage shithole gas station.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

That's tough and I hope it gets better soon

The Indian elections made me want to learn Hindi again. It's been a while since I last tried to learn it

I'm aware of this, and it was one of the reasons I quit in the first place

If you are interested you can learn Bengali. Personally Telugu which is my mother tongue is the best looking/sounding one but you should try Bengali.

On Bengali https://youtu.be/cnOkbosPm-s?si=r2eR_zgxOXZzis-V

Plus there is a lot of literature and philosophy written in it

In a morbid, fucked up way I am curious to see what happens when white Europeans will soon be on the receiving end of the fascism stick.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago

Probably the same breathless tentative vibe I've got waiting to see these comfortable-assed Amerikan crackers experience it, no doubt. Like, for me, I acknowledge it's morbid and probs a little bit fucked up because I was born here; but at the same time? Just because I was born here does not mean it's my country.

The crackers lock my people up on federal timeframes of carceral slavery for the kinds of things whites get slapped on the wrist and fined at most for. They still lynch us left right and center; and every democrat since Obama has repeatedly, routinely funneled military surplus to PDs all over the country under the 1033 Program to continue lynching us-- except now, because it's a bullet instead of a noose, the so-called 'good' crackers don't think anything of it. This ain't my country; and I consider Amerikans to be an existential enemy that if more of my community still had revolutionary fervor, we should have been fighting the same way Palestine fights Israel.

So nah; I'm eager to see what happens next. Can't be any worse than what "democracy" has been doing to us since Reconstruction was intentionally-downed.

The combined effect of Pride Month, June 4th and June 6th makes liberals so fucking exhausting this time of year.

The party I voted for (SP, demsoc) probably won't make it into EU parliament, but apparently they are close to a seat, so I'm still hopeful. We'll see on sunday

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago (1 children)

What made you vote for SP this time? I tried to find several ways to not make my question seem like an attack but be assured it's not lol I just wondered as you've voted for another party a while ago for example.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago

I'm a BIJ1 member, but had to find another party to vote for since they didn't participate this time. So I was thinking about PvdD and SP but decided on SP because they are slightly better on Ukraine

Does "3 body problem" ever stop with the anti-china propaganda?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago (1 children)

should i bother with it? i have been apprehensive about it because its so popular in the west.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago (1 children)

its fine i've watched 3 episodes, its just that its almost comical how it portrays china as backwards and the west progressive. I cracked laughing in one scene where it turns out there is an rich American in the middle of nowhere in China trying to save some random bird specie in danger of extinction because the evil CCP has been cutting trees. I need to read the novel to see the differences in the adaptations.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago

I've read the books and am about halfway through the Netflix version. The whole tree chopping saga was exactly as it was described in the books, unfortunately.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Is this like a walmart/sams/costco branded beer?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Coveted Tesco Value Beer. Tesco is a british brand of supermarkets that has recently exited the Polish market. Most of their stores have been bought up by the French. Like Carrefour and Leclerc.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Damn so you’re saying the Polish Tesco bag for life I got when visiting Krakow like a decade ago is now a collectors item

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago

yes, sell it for one million złoty (2 dollars)

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago

I frequented a bar in my hometown which for some reason attracted the local migrant workers. Lots of Polish guys and they were really fun to hang out with. Somewhere in a village near Krakow, there is a BBQ waiting with my name on it. Sadly I forgot the name of the town.
