I remember saying many times: we are going to be banned and honestly we should be banned, but we will not be banned for the right reasons.
Anyway, Marg bar amrika, death to all slave owners, John Brown did nothing wrong, and from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.
I got rid of my reddit account shortly after the sub was banned. Thank god too because looking at comments on reddit is generally just the most irritating thing I can possibly do in my life.

Yeah so it turns out he didn't do anything wrong. 
I remember i joined Chapo.chat like a few months after the ban because there was a pinned post in dankleft
Very thankful I saw a chapo.chat link on a different subreddit within a week of the ban and got to lurk here for a few years. I definitely would not have found this place since I'm always online but in a different way than a lot of you guys.
Anyway, happy anniversary.

I remember being part of a chapo discord that sucked tbh. Luckily someone posted about chapo.chat as an alternative to the sub. I was never super active in the sub. I didn't even listen to the pod until about a year before covid. I'm glad I found this site.
I joined the discord and hated it so I left and didn't end up here until reddit removed third party apps

Also the first time I felt old was when we moved to the discord chat, the main chat was moving so fast I couldn't even read it. Then we had to make the slow chat lol
The discord was a nightmare for my boomer ass brain

being a boomer is when you don't want to stare at a ceaseless stream of largely incoherent incomplete sentences and random emojis

I'm glad you guys eventually joined the federation experiment - Lemmy would be almost entirely libs without the hexbears. Grad and .ml would be overwhelmed.
They genuinely thought kill slave owners meant, we will kill you for you 401k.
No they didn't. They just needed some little thing to get upset about to justify purging us. We were getting too popular and the great NATOification of all social media had to be complete.
Honestly, probably the best thing to happen to us. Look at us.
