What does this guy have against volunteer firefighters?

I met Steve the night he got stabbed in the neck in Wilmington, NC.

He was freakin awesome & he did not deserve the stabbing or this round of punching.

What the hell is going on!?!?!

I know personally multiple people that got suckerpunched in broad daylight while walking down a street in NY for no apparent reason.

I don't understand it... like what's the point? Smacking someone and running away doesn't make you big and tough, they're just being a little bitch.

They want to feel like a man they should go to a biker bar and try that with the biggest dude in the room.

Having just got back from a week in New York, I can tell you that reason does not proliferate on the streets there. Crazy is a feature.

Steve was a good actor, and a good man. He was one of us. He was a man who loved the outdoors... and acting, and as a surfer he explored the beaches of Southern California, from La Jolla to Leo Carrillo and... up to... Pismo. He was punched, like so many young men of his generation, he was assaulted before his time. In your wisdom, Lord, you took him, as you took so many bright flowering young men at Khe Sanh, at Langdok, at Hill 364. These young men gave their lives. And so would Steve. Steve, who loved acting. And so, Steven Vincent Buscemi, in accordance with what we think your dying wishes might well have been, we commit your final mortal remains to the bosom of the Pacific Ocean, which you loved so well. Good night, sweet prince.

Randomly punching someone on the street makes you a dick not a fascist.... the people running around waving Nazi and Israel flags would be fascists.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

Actor Steve Buscemi was injured in a random attack by a passer-by in New York City, his publicist said. The Boardwalk Empire and Reservoir Dogs actor needed hospital treatment to his face after a "random act of violence" in Manhattan, his publicist said.

He suffered bruises and a bloody eye.Police said they responded to an emergency call on Wednesday about a 66-year-old man being punched in the face.A description of the suspect and his photograph were released by police.

He was wearing a dark-coloured baseball cap, blue T-shirt, black trousers and white trainers and was carrying a bag.Buscemi was attacked in Midtown at around 11:48 ET (15:48 GMT) on 8 May near 369 Third Ave.He was taken to Bellevue Hospital for treatment of bruising, swelling and bleeding to his left eye.

"Steve Buscemi was... another victim of a random act of violence in the city," the statement read.

"One witness told the New York Post he saw the actor seem to "trip and fall backwards" in the assault before he got up and ran off. There have been reports of random attacks in the city and hundreds of National Guard troops were deployed in March to the subway to address high-profile incidents of violence. However, official figures suggest, external overall crime in New York City has fallen year on year.Buscemi is a New Yorker who once worked as a firefighter.

His portrayal of a corrupt Atlantic City politician leading a double life during Prohibition in the hit HBO series Boardwalk Empire won him a Golden Globe award.
