For me this was a disappointing video. JT may have a good grasp on US issues but he is a bit naive when it comes to Europe. In some ways European elites are even more unhinged than the Americans. European imperialism should not be excused or downplayed as simply an extension of US imperialism, nor should European attempts at appearing like they want to deal in good faith with China be taken at face value. They are as duplicitous as any Washington ghoul, we saw this clearly in how they tried stringing Russia along for years with the Minsk accords sham while arming and preparing a Nazi regime for war with Russia all along.

Yes. The Empire will devour its colonies and protectorates whenever the might of the Empire is in danger, and it needs the nourishment. Nations all over Europe are likely to see massive recessions in this next decade. The US might get better but I’m not sure the average person will see any of that growth.

Maybe we can finally liberate Ceuta and Melilla

From Europe, specifically Spain.

Ceuta and Melilla were Spanish territory long before Morocco existed. And they are as Spanish as Asturias.

And if you are talking about liberating, talk about Western Sahara and the Moroccan occupation.

Don't threaten me with a good time... vive el Polisario!

spoilerMorroco, for a long time, has a shit comprador state of a nation (subordinated to Israel, U.S, West Europe, and other European, economic and foreign policy interests. ( Eg. look at their recognition of Israel and their obedience to controlling Ceuta and Melilla's borders for Spain's interest )

So I think it's better if it'd at least become Algerie-style gov't (national liberation, socialist-oriented economy, and secular, progressive anti-monarchial culture)

bugs-no Imperialist punks fuck off

And, by the way, if that's because a European country has a part in Africa, ask Türkiye to "give back" its European part. And France has to give back all its overseas territories. And UK has to give back the Malvinas.🤦‍♂️

[–] [email protected] 0 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Yes, the UK should give back the last of its colonies. The Turkey one is ridiculous on its face. I don’t think you understand imperialism / colonialism.

Before Ceuta and Melilla were Spanish territory they were Portuguese.

And if we go back, we go full back. Let's return all the Mediterranean to the Romans.

I see, you’re here to jagoff

"France has to give back all its overseas territories. And UK has to give back the Malvinas."

yes

[–] [email protected] 0 points 6 months ago (1 children)

And the part of Türkije also yes?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 6 months ago (1 children)

The difference is that the European part of Turkey was not colonized by Turkey.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Oh, right, it was a God given territory, yeah. 🤦‍♂️

[–] [email protected] 0 points 6 months ago

If you want an honest answer about giving back Turkish territory in Europe, sure, they might as well since it makes little difference to the people there anyways as they're all still going to be subject to US/EU domination either way. If you want to talk about what Turkey should actually withdraw from, they should return what they illegally occupy from Syria first.

Why not "liberate" a part of you're own country. Give it to some other country. It doesn't matter if everyone there doesn't want it. Fuck them all and give it to another country.🤦‍♂️ Everyone in Ceuta and Melilla are as Spaniards as someone from Madrid. It'd be like asking the US to give back Alaska.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 6 months ago

It’d be like asking the US to give back Alaska.

You’re getting warmer https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Land_Back

It'd be like asking the US to give back Alaska.

As they should. To the First Peoples that is.

That would still be a start

[–] [email protected] 0 points 6 months ago

Insomuch as it would be removed from the imperial core, I suppose that’s true. I wouldn’t attempt to predict how the indigenous peoples might fare, but one might investigate how indigenous northeast Siberians are faring.
