That makes me strangely uncomfortable.
Walking barefoot is better or worse than walking on LEGO pieces?
Taketomi Island. Very chill, really beautiful place. Would love to visit again.
Looks lik a regular beach, but then... !
Babylon 5 Shadows enters the thread.
Might be a silly question from me, but I have no experience with that type of sand. Does it hurt when you run your hand through it or grab it? How fragile or tough are those pieces of sand?
Can't be that fragile else the waves would have destroyed them long ago
"Hoshi-zuna no Hama" (星砂の浜) literally means "Star-sand Beach"
How are single-celled organisms so big?
Ostrich eggs. Single cell, though different since it's a haploid cell.
there is bigger https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valonia_ventricosa
i remember this, the forbidden grape
And technically there are even larger individual cells, such as adipocytes or myocytes.
That's the biggest cell I've seen since my first phone 25 years ago!
You’re wrong, my brain is the largest single cell organism
How do you do, Mr amoeba
It seems pretty, but I am not sure I would enjoy it getting in my shorts ..
You wouldn't enjoy regular sand either. It's coarse and rough and gets everywhere.
It annoys not just the men but women and children too
But at least it's not spiky coarse
Even walking barefoot seems like it would be painful!
