Who cares? He was inoeached before already and it literally did NOTHING

Wake me up when this bullshit is actually over, all this "oohh, THIS will end him for sure!" every week is tiring

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

Fuck it, impeach him every single fucking day; he's got enough crimes for it. Lock up congress and make the GOP cult show up every day and bend the knee to the orange fascist instead of doing a single thing for the US.

Also people in democratic leadership roles should start prosecuting his minions. ICE arresting legal citizens? Straight to jail. Barring lawmakers from detention facilities? Believe it or not, straight to jail.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago

Pointing cops at ICE - suddenly I don't care that US cops are trigger happy

[–] [email protected] 19 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

I completely agree.
However, this is exactly what he wants. The more tired we all become of his bullshit and the more we wave it away then the more bullshit he pulls, and gets away with.

If someone, anyone, had given him any consequences to his actions over the past few decades he wouldn't be like he is. If just one person took him outside and beat the living fuck out of him then I feel things would be different.
Things definitely wouldn't be like they are now. They may not be much better, but they would be better.

Again, I agree it's tiring. But I also think we shouldn't give up.
So I hope you, and anyone who reads this, starts to feel less of "this is tiring!" And more of "this is tiring l.. but we can't let that rich obese orange rapist drag me down and get away with it!"

Don't give up!! Fight him. Pull him up on every single thing and ridicule him.

not with the house in the hands of republicans.

Best hope there is enough democracy left in the US to swing it back to the Dems in 2026.

And even then, without a comfortable majority for the Dems in the senate it will just be another impeachment to add to the pile, no conviction.

They don't call him teflon don for no reason

not with the house in the hands of republicans.

It's almost like you should do something about those Republicans.

Best hope there is enough democracy left in the US to swing it back to the Dems in 2026.

This is the silliest fucking thing I've ever read. Go fight.

Dont get your hopes up. The democrats have yet to show any ability to regain seats. they'll likely just swing harder towards Cheney and get rocked again.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 week ago

swing it back to the Dems in 2026

😲🫵😭

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 week ago

Lol, no it isn't. Ever since Cold War times, the law has been that the president can not only launch missiles, but even deploy troops on the ground, without congressional approval. There's a limit on how long the troops can be deployed, iirc, but once you've started a ground invasion it's a bit late.

Obviously it's unconstitutional, but there's no legal precedent that would say so. If you think this is the first time this has happened, you really need to learn more about history. The US never formally declared war on Vietnam, for example.

Only impeachment that will matter is a vigilante with better aim

[–] [email protected] 72 points 1 week ago (2 children)

The cop at the protest yawns, unslings his 40mm LMT™ weapon, loads another rubber bullet into it, looks around the crowd for another reporter, aims, and shoots her in the head.

Idealistic youngling: "Wow, that cop just shot a woman in the head with a rubber bullet, he could totally be charged for that!"

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 week ago

After "shoots her in the head" you forgot "poses for the cameras"

[–] [email protected] 23 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (2 children)

Americans are cowards. Period.

The constitutional right to be ARMED TO THE TEETH and they’re all pissing their pants in fear of… losing their jobs? They literally sat there, watched the worst of humanity seize power, and spent their political capital trying to limit their ability to fight back.

They deserve whatever they get.

So is everything else he's done. Not seeing it happen any time soon.

[–] [email protected] 98 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Trump has already been impeached.

Twice.

The last time he was president.

It doesn't matter anymore.

[–] [email protected] 41 points 1 week ago (1 children)

And became a felon after that.

[–] [email protected] 31 points 1 week ago (3 children)

Shortly before becoming president for the second time.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 week ago (4 children)

And winning the popular vote this time.

Then every president should be impeached. Dem leadership wouldn't pursue this because they know it puts some of their own at risk

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 week ago

Every president that I can remember (starting with Reagan) should have been impeached and later prosecuted for war crimes.

I remember all it took was some jizz...

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 week ago (2 children)

To be fair, Clinton did take advantage of an intern in a relationship where the power dynamic meant there could never be meaningful consent, and then he lied about it under oath.

Two things can be true: it was a political hit job where they were just out to get Clinton on anything they could. But also, Clinton did a shitty thing, was caught, then lied about it.

[–] [email protected] -2 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

LOL, compare to now having a convicted felon as president, lied about it, then already committed several crimes after being elected and keeps lying about it. Who cares about a blow job...

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 week ago

trumps never done anything shitty and/or lied about it

lmao

[–] [email protected] 20 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Now we have an actual cum stain running this shit show

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 week ago

Cum stains can be washed out of you get em soon enough, but this rag could be frisbee'd at a wall and it'd shatter at this point.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 week ago

Cum stain? It was a full term pregnancy that gave birth to a big giant orange piece of shit.

[–] [email protected] 67 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I wish I still lived in the fantasy world where this was plausible.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 week ago

It still is in many countries around the globe. Please don't give up hope, it is not a sign of naivety!

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Isn't the president allowed 90 days before congress is required?

[–] [email protected] 27 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Yes, also he didn't declare war. Anyone old enough to remember 9-11 knows what is up.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 week ago (1 children)

He can't declare war, but he also doesn't need to. Anybody old enough to remember Vietnam knows what's up.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago

War, war never changes.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 week ago

They're coming right at us, Jimbo!

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Can we impeach him out of a cannon?

Into the sun?

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 week ago (3 children)

That would take too much energy, it would be simpler to send him into a geostationary orbit.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago

How about the next Starship test?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I'm not saying we should actually make a realistic attempt (according to various videos of actual rocket scientists, it's virtually impossible anyway), but we could "try".

You know, as a treat.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Sounds like you want a destabilized orbit that results in re-entry

Cheaper to just "forget" to set up the ramp and let him faceplant on the runway getting out of a plane.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 week ago

I'm just saying, soon he'll be flying on a plane that was "free".

"hey buddy, you know how you're the president of a country here, right?"

"Yes I'm the most beautiful, fluctuant, prescient president of all time, so says the people. I don't know if it's true, but that's what people are saying"

"Uh... Ok? Anyways, how would you like to be president of a whole fucking planet?!?"

"This is what the world needs, a leader to take it into dysplasia. Who else could do it but me? This new one world government and state will need a name. Well call it fantasia, and it will be wonderful."

"Sure, sure, fantasia sounds beautiful. We've already built you the thrown right here. Strap in, your sovereignty"

"I'm going to turn this wasteland, into, you know, a utopia for all rich white Americans"

"Uh huh" tightens seat harness "you snug Mr. President?"

"Well I think you're a loser because this is too tight. You're fired, get me someone who can make this right."

"Oh I am making it right, sir, just give me a second, I apologize." Leaves capsule

[Starship explosion noises]

"Fackin whoops"

Which the Democrats should absolutely fucking do regardless of whether The Republicans will vote to convict, which of course they won’t, but the point is, we can’t just sit back and do nothing. We have to at least show that we’re willing to take the steps that are necessary to dissent.
