The box is made from reclaimed wood, and she is super happy with it.
And here I am, keeping my seeds in recycled baggies in an old cigar box. :)

How did you do the hinges like that?
You try to do them on the inside, fail , then mount them on the outside and insert different color of wood to make it seem intentional.
I am also a master of Wabi-sabi
FYI - In .y experience it's a bit small for a good seed collection.
The proper size would be around 1/2 of your house.
I appreciate that you did the hinges properly instead of just screwing them to the back.
I tried doing them properly, but managed to fuck up the alignment. So what you are seeing is a fix, they are actually mounted on the out side. Sorry to disappoint you.

Yes please do! I didn't make any plans for it just sort of designed it as I went. Otherwise I would have shared the plans.
