Alright, on Mbin I can see the alt text I gave the Dinosaur Train logo. On Lemmy, I cannot. Would appreciate if other Lemmy users would tell me if they can see alt text or not, as well as if they can see alt text for the following image: 
On Thunder, I have to tap to view the full size image in order to see the alt text, but it is federated to Lemmy.
I can see alt text for both using the Voyager app
I'm on lemie using an Android client called connect and I can see both images
I can't normally see the alt text using the Summit and Jerboa apps or by going directly to https://sopuli.xyz/.
I did notice that when I clicked the button to reply, I can see the alt text from both Summit and Jerboa.
