Just started playing this a few days ago. Loving it so far.
Makes me want to start a new run. It's been almost a year since my last one, bet there are a lot cool new updates.
Update 7 is amazing.
3d terrain, you can build overhangs.
Zip lines for Foketales, move at 150%speed on a zipline to get to the destination faster.
Tubeways for Iron Teeth, move at 300% speed like the tubesways from Futurama.
Smart power shafts, no more T, X, or horizontal to vertical. It's either a exposed shaft or solid shaft.
Dynamite tunneling. No longer do you need to blow everything above a bock to remove dirt.

The recent updates sound like the include much needed improvements.
I gave up on my last run because terrsforming and complex building was very tedious and time consuming.
Still on my want-to-play list
Honestly with Update 7 just released it is a really good time to jump in.
The new water and tunnels have reborn the game for me. You know how many problems you can solve with tunnels???
Oh, they improved things? I might have to reinstall.
Underground aquifers are so much easier now
Subways are a godsend. Just tunnel to level 0 and go hog wild.
I just started playing again yesterday, I'll have to look into the tunnels!
Tunnels are OP in great way. I'm building whole subterranean caverns with tree farms on my current map.
