I'd love to be able to make this, or even taste it. I'll say that, in this photo, it looks as if someone went through a bunch of work to produce a beautiful culinary delight... and then just squirted a bunch of ketchup on it.

What's the sauce? Please tell me it isn't ketchup.

Omuraisu is usually eaten with ketchup. It's meant to be a quick snack. The fancy ones have a special sauce though.

Ugh. I mean, I like ketchup, but it's not haut cuisine in my book. Oh well, I know of nowhere near me to get this anyway.

Imma have to try this when someone else made it. The few times I made it myself, I didn't care for it. I must be doing something wrong because it's just egg and rice.
