I can only imagine how casualties are hidden... for a start they probably retain the information whatever they can. Eventually they have to communicate to their families but probably they tell them that it is a matter of "national security" and that the "hero" died for the country in a very secretive operation and not to communicate publicly... who knows, even they may sign them a confidentiality paper...

I wish people were far more skeptical of governments that for a century is routinely sending hundreds of thousands youngsters thousands of miles away for "defense".

Y'all don't really think that fighter jet just fell off the aircraft carrier, do you? Am I supposed to believe the jet fell off the side of a ship that big because it was turning too fast because it was dodging missiles?

It might during sharp emergency turns, but that would mean the carrier was under real risk of being hit, because they aren't normally making sharp turns due to structural stress. So it's a hit for Ansar Allah anyway.

It is actually quite feasible, go check a Youtube video on the rather steep angles of a carrier on fast turning maneuvers. Like why would you think it to be not possible, I wonder?

Now imagine the plane is badly or inappropriately secured due to incompetence, or the fact that they have to maneuver unexpectedly, and voila, you have a plane that could slide off. Point being is that it could happen, unless you have some solid facts in the contrary, outside just your gut feeling.

It's technically possible, but it's also possible that the jet was hit and they're covering it up.

At a certain point under this new administration you're going to have to realize that waiting for solid facts will mean waiting fifty years for documents to get declassified (assuming the US lasts that long). This only serves the interests of the regime, it can just lie and you're forced to accept it because you don't have enough evidence to disprove its lies.

When the truth is unknowable we are reduced to speculation. If the administration is hiding casualties, it certainly would also hide something like this. Why shouldn't I just go with my gut on this one?

If you trust the word of the US military you're just going with your gut too.

You are making it sound as it the Biden Administration did not outright lie on a ton of things. Remember when Biden and his Admin claimed he was not senile, for years? I, unlike most American actually watch C-SPAN and you could see Biden losing it in meetings as far as 2020. The Left news media lied and his Admin literally invented a new term, "Cheap Fakes," as to cover up how senile he was. That is a huge set of lies that went on for years, and people just gave him a pass due to political bias. And this is just one example. I could name a ton more.

So did the Obama Admin and the Bush Admin, they all lie. Regardless of political leaning. Problem that is that most people go by the news and not primary sources, like, literally hearing their speeches, or reading Bills or Laws that get passed, but rather selected clips and sound bites and then claim they know what is going on. Most Americans are fulled by personal bias and limited worldview in my experience.

In the end, given that a plane that is badly secured can easily fall out of a fast moving aircraft carrier during high speed turning maneuvers, I will go with that until further notice. No reason to go into conspiracy theories just for the sake of hating on Trump, I have better things to do. And I say that as someone who is no fan of Trump.

Yet, by all means, go with your gut. I will go with available facts and until more come available, as I personally see no reason to make wild theories for the sake of making them.

PS: I am no fan of the US military, either.

The hell are you talking about? I'm very aware Biden lied constantly about "tirelessly working towards a ceasefire" and is the reason this war is happening in the first place. I have no loyalty to that senile butcher or anyone loyal to him (Copmala etc).

What available facts? All we have to go off of are claims made by the US, and claims are not facts. Surely this was recorded, but we won't get to see it - the facts are hidden by the chain of command and military secrecy. It's not like the US is going to publish the actual details or footage or anything.

You don't have facts and you shouldn't act like it. We're all just speculating. Your gut says the military can be trusted, mine says it can't.

Available facts are literally the statements made by the US military or the US government -- for the time being. I mean, what you are going to do? Get on your private plane and fly to the gulf, land on the aircraft carrier and check it out for yourself? Surely, and in time, more facts will come out, either from the US government or from elsewhere. We will be able to have then, objectively, a better picture of what happened.

Point is not to jump to false conclusions, either way. Just not go into conspiracy theories, is my point. To me at least, it seems like just a waste of time.

No, I am not saying that my gut instinct is to trust the US military, I am well aware of the US bullshit propaganda machine, my gut instinct is not to make conspiracies out of nothing just because, 'Trump bad.' We are both coming at it from the general same direction, but my stance is more neutral than yours, until further notice, obviously.
