Oh wow, this article title matches the error I'm seeing! And the body elaborates in the witnessed behaviour!

Oh, a link to the resolution? Ok... πŸ’₯Paywall.

Same with SO answers that are "use this library i made"

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago

A lot of the time those libraries are:

  • Actually really useful and (at the time) underrated (like postman)
  • A small wrapper around an existing lib.

That's partially why I made a blocklist of SEO/AI spam websites. EaseUS and partition manager were some of the first websites I blocked!

Which Partition Manager?

I can just throw this GitHub in my pihole?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 week ago

This would block any requests to the website, but it would still show up in search results.

That should work fine, but make sure to get rid of the first few lines in the text file since they're headers for ublacklist.

This is uBlacklist for anyone else who doesn't know. I do the ducking so you ain't gotta. πŸ‘

FOG for those things it can't do (imaging, deployment, capture)

Just SEO vampire things.

Slurping up all the traffic to push their proprietary nonsense. I hate it with a passion.

Try different search engines https://search.ononoki.org/

and while their 'howto' articles are sales pitches for their own products, they do give instructions for things like diskpart, too. (example)

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 week ago

Yeah, thats how they appear in my "how to do thing diskpart" searches.
