Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.

Imagine how it would be if some random secretary in your workplace would do as she did. Imagine the same with opposite sexes.
I think the depressing part is to see the own expectations and how these comics are feeding them. He has the right to not like the person and she has no right to touch him without his permission
Why did you assume the female is a secretary? Thatβs not a common title anymore.
Why do you think people are hugging each other at work? Weβre not.
Either she's his girlfriend and he's just a complete asshole, or she's his girlfriend and he's being a sarcastic jackass(this is the only "good" scenario), or she's a clingy type who calls herself his girlfriend even though he's not into her at all and he's either set boundaries she ignores or he just doesn't really care if she invades his space like that.
No matter what, this comic sucks.
It's called dark humor. Carful or you might drown in your own tears.
Dark humor has to actually be funny.
Dark humor like any humor is subjective. Funny to one, not to the other.
Yeah, I'd downvote it, but it is currently showing 666 net votes, and that captures how I feel about it even better.
I'm very much feeling the last scenario. She seems incredibly clingy.
Maybe their relationship is fueled, in part, by sarcasm and thats just part of their dynamic. By being sarcastic, he's actually demonstrated that his battery has recharged.
This is the case it was badly conveyed.
He's smiling in the last panel.
Except, they included his uncharged battery in most frames.
Or that batteries don't actually work like that
Well, batteries only charge when you plug them in. (hint hint)
Good take. Thatβs the only way I can get any wholesomeness out of the comic. Otherwise it just feels awkward and bad!
This is a much better looking style than Adam Ellisβs old buzzfeed art style but I donβt know if the joke lands any better.
